Forming, Welding, Sizing Stands DANIELI W+K‘s forming stands are of rigid and compact design, ensuring high process reliability and efficiency for the production of high-quality tubes and pipes. For the production of thickwalled and high-tensile precision tubes, very short distances between the stands provides for tight and safe tube forming process. The stands are individually driven. Each shaft has automatic roll positioning. Customized solutions are also

offered for DANIELI W+K’s forming stands for large pipe ODs, e.g. line pipe production up to 660 mm in order to facilitate tool changing procedures. Wide diameter-ranged tooling saves on tooling costs and downtimes. Sturdy welding tables offer a wide range of applications, either in 2-roll, 4-roll or 5-roll design, with quick-change and comprehensive automatic setting systems.

Multi Cutter DANIELI W+K’s Multi Cutter ensures perfect cuts with minimum burr at high production speeds. Special design of the saw heads allows the use of one, two or four saw blades, depending on pipe dimensions. Low-backlash gearboxes are optimally matched to the carbide-tipped saw blades. Thanks to the design and arrangement of special pipe clamping systems any vibrations during the cut-off procedure are reduced.

The result is a high-quality low-burr cut, even when cutting pipes with high wall thicknesses and extreme material properties or thin-walled large diameter pipes. The Multi Cutter is used in pipe welding lines up to a pipe O.D. of max. 26” (660 mm) and hollow sections. Thanks to the special saw head designs wide diameter ranges can also be covered.

Finishing Line for Automotive Tube In addition to API pipe finishing lines, DANIELI W+K offers state-of the-art solutions to automotive tube producers. After cutting an integrated sample saw cuts pre-selected lengths for testing procedures. Both tube ends are bevelled and led to the subsequent blow-out station where two tubes are handled simultaneously. The inside scarf is rinsed out with emulsion and 3

chopped into chips. Remaining emulsion is blown-out. The final tubes are either led to further processing (e.g. drawing benches) or to the automatic tube bundling and strapping machine.
