Troubleshooting GPS receivers require a signal from Satellites, therefore they do no not work well indoors. If there is no line of sight between the internal antenna and the sky, you will likely lose reception. If you accidentally go to the wrong page, just hit the page button until it takes you back to the right page If your eTrex shuts off unexpectedly, you probably need to replace the batteries Your GPS Receiver will guide you in a straight line, “as the crow flies.” The actual distance and route you travel will be different from what the eTrex suggests. Refer to your printed map for a better orientation.
