“Molly (our narrator) introduced us before we sang our opening song Sparkle and Shine. In my opinion, the concert was very good because it had a modern twist. It was funny at the start, the microphone was really loud and Molly was shouting, also when we sang our class song and came in late and Mrs Hawkins had to pick up back up!”

Footsteps The red light smoulders,

Christmas Poems from Obsidian Class- Inspired by a picture...

The logs burning up, As the footsteps grow, nearer, nearer, nearer. The slumbering sleep of the watchful eye,

The lights wrapped tightly against the snow-covered tree twinkled in the moonlight, The lonely teddy watched by the comforts of the tree as a tall figure stacked presents around it,

The rug breathes up and down, The footsteps grow, nearer, nearer, nearer. The ribbons wrapped, the stockings hung, Nothing stirring, all asleep, As the footsteps grow, nearer, nearer, nearer. The pounding of drums on the ceiling,

The snow-man peered through the window gazing at the candles and lights illuminating the room, Small bright flames flew up and touched the fireplace while warming the room with soft, comforting heat. Ryan Mahlambo-Bibb

The scrape of a vehicle on the rug, As the footsteps grow, nearer, nearer, nearer. The stockings are full, The food is eaten, Only half a carrot remains, As the footsteps grow further, further, further. As the footsteps grow further, further, further. Lily Jenkins The candles were really bright, So were the Christmas lights, The stockings were hung, The presents were done, But the fire still wasn’t gone. The snowman was wearing a scarf, You could hear everyone laugh, They were eating the chicken, The snowman was sticking, But the fire still wasn’t gone. Esha Gill The Christmas trees vigorous, My Mum and Nan victorious With the festive Turkey de-li-cious, No one being violent or vicious, Everyone being nice, Brushing their hair, Getting rid of lice. Amro Elrasheed

A roaring fire lighting up the dark winter room, Beautifully wrapped Christmas presents relaxing under the enormous Christmas tree, The stockings hung from the mantelpiece each displaying an unusual pattern, A freshly made wreath sat upon 4 wax candles dripping into their already full of saucers, Dainty lights sit upon a lush tree sparkling like mounds of fairy dust, A frosted window displays a snowy scene outside containing a snowman that looked like it had been wrapped up warm in its hat and scarf, The vibrant glow coming off the star at the top of the tree illuminated the room like a thousand shards of light.
