Remarks: For the essential characteristics of the flow sensor see belonging Evaluation certificate. The Qmax and Qmin of the measuring system in kg/min have to be defined from the design of the measuring system (pump capacity and pressure losses) and shall not be in conflict with the characteristics as stated in the Evaluation Certificate belonging to the sensor. The minimum ratio of Qmax and Qmin shall be at least 4.

Description Nederlands Meetinstituut

Number T10071 revision 1 Project number 710466 Page 3 of 5

The minimum measured quantity (in kg and l) is the biggest of the following three: 1. minimum measured quantity as mentioned in table above; 2. one minute delivery at a flow rate, equal to Qmin of the measuring system; 3. 100 * the additional effect of the pipework between the meter and transfer point due to variations in temperature, equal to 10°C for exposed pipes and 2°C for insulated or underground pipes.

Essential shapes

1.3.1 Configuration Typical arrangement of the interruptible measuring system see drawing no. T10071/1-1. Typical arrangement of the non-interruptible measuring system see drawing no. T10071/1-2. 1.3.2 Inscriptions - Nameplate The name plate contains at least, clearly visible, the following information: The type approval mark no. T10071; Manufacturer’s identification mark or trademark Designation Serial number and year of manufacture Qmin - Qmax Pmax Liquid(s) to be measured Temperature range ambient CE marking Accuracy class of the flow sensor Environmental classes - See for the inscriptions of the sensor, flow transmitter, pressure transmitter, temperature transmitter and flow computer the belonging Evaluation Certificates. Note: In general it is preferred that the name plate layout is such that Safety, Metrological and common markings are logically arranged to cover also other relevant information, coming from other legislation. An example of the nameplate is presented in document no T10071/1-3. - The minimum measured quantity, in kg or L. 1.3.3

Conditional parts The measuring system contains also the following conditional parts: - Temperature sensor (see Evaluation Certificate of the sensor) - Pressure sensor (see Evaluation Certificate of the sensor) - Back-up power supply (for non-interruptible systems)

1.5

Conditional characteristics -

1.6

Conditional shapes -

1.7

The construction shall be such that no air pockets remain after the air is released by the vent-off valves. Diameter of the valves and piping.

Non essential parts -

2

Before a delivery is started, the system shall be free of air. By-pass of a sensor (optional) See T10071/1-4 for prescribed conditions for by-passing a sensor.

Pump, pipe work and connections. Block-in valve(s) Vent-off valve(s) Filter/strainer

Conditions for approval - Verification procedure of the system For the initial verifications the NMi procedure C-SP-HW-281 is applied with the title 'Procedure C-SP-HW-281 for the MID conformity assessment for the Micro Motion flow meter when used for custody transfer gas applications (annex MI-002) and liquid applications (annex MI-005).’ - Verification procedure of the meter For the verification of the meter itself, the NMi procedure C-SP-HW-280 is applied with the title 'Procedure C-SP-HW-280 for the MID conformity assessment for the Micro Motion Flow meter when used for custody transfer in gas applications (annex MI-002) and liquid applications (annex MI-005)'. - The initial verification of the meter is based on: a water calibration, which includes: - a mass flow test - a zero mass flow verification - if applicable a density test In the field a zero mass flow verification and if applicable a density verification.

Description Nederlands Meetinstituut

Number T10071 revision 1 Project number 710466 Page 5 of 5

This procedure is justified because of the fact that tests have proven that the mass and density accuracy on water is representative for mass and density accuracy on other liquids. Note: The initial verification method can also be applied for the subsequent verifications. 3

Sealings The nameplate of the measuring system is sealed. For the sealing of the sensor, flow transmitter and flow computer the belonging Evaluation Certificates. The securing component has to bear either: - A mark of the manufacturer laid down in an approved quality system by a Notified Body, or; - A mark of a Notified Body.
