The Dutch Desk in Germany is based in the KPMG office in Düsseldorf and includes a team of qualified accountants (both Dutch registeraccountants and German Wirtschaftsprüfer), tax consultants and advisory consultants specialized in Dutch companies with interests in Germany. Hans Peter van der Horst, partner at KPMG in Düsseldorf and Utrecht. He is a Dutch 'Registeraccountant' and he has worked for KPMG for 22 years, 3 of which in Belgium, 19 in the Netherlands, he started in Germany as per 1st of October 2009. He has extensive experience with large international clients, as well as medium-sized and small companies. His experience includes a wide range of support to these companies, including audit of accounts, support with acquiring other companies or activities and administrative process assistance. He is specialized in industry, financial services, trade and transportation. Hans Peter is fluent in Dutch, German and English.

Michael Buchwald, partner at KPMG in Düsseldorf, lived in the Netherlands until 1992. He is a German "Wirtschaftsprüfer" and has worked for KPMG for 15 years, two of which in the Netherlands. Michael mainly serves Dutch clients with subsidiaries in Germany, especially industry and trade as well as transportation companies. His experience comprises audits of reporting packages for consolidation purposes in accordance with Dutch GAAP, IFRS and US-GAAP of large international clients as well as small and medium-sized companies. Also he has broad experience in advising Dutch companies starting activities in Germany. Michael is a native Dutch and German speaker and fluent in English.

Jan Jaap van den Berg joined KPMG the Netherlands in 2005. Jan Jaap is a Dutch "Registeraccountant" and has been working as an auditor for 11 years. He has been working as a manager at KPMG in Düsseldorf since 2008. He mainly serves Dutch clients with subsidiaries in Germany. His experience comprises audits of reporting packages for consolidation purposes, in particular industry and trade companies. Jan Jaap is fluent in Dutch, German and English.

René Springer, senior manager at KPMG in Düsseldorf, joined KPMG in 2001. He is a German "Wirtschaftsprüfer" and “Steuerberater”. His sector experience covers a wide range of industries including consumer goods and retail, leisure, chemicals, and construction. He gained two years of international experience at the KPMG office in Rotterdam. René has extensive experience with audits of reporting packages, consolidated financial statements and statutory financial statements in accordance with German GAAP, IFRS and Dutch GAAP of owner and private equity managed entities. He also has broad experience in advising companies in various branches. René is fluent in German, Dutch and English.

Helmut Meurer, manager at KPMG in Düsseldorf, joined KPMG in 2000. He is a German "Wirtschaftsprüfer" and is registered Certified Public Accountant in Illinois. His sector experience covers a wide range of industries including chemicals, construction and automotive. He gained international experience at the KPMG office Rotterdam. Helmut has extensive experience with audits of reporting packages, consolidated financial statements and statutory financial statements in accordance with German GAAP, IFRS, Dutch GAAP and US GAAP including SOX 404 compliance attestation. Helmut is fluent in German, Dutch and English.

Ingo Rieke, partner at KPMG in Düsseldorf, joined KPMG in 1996. He is a German “Steuerberater” and US Certified Public Accountant. He has considerable experience rendering tax advice to multinational groups and specialises in cross-border tax issues in relation to M&A, transfer pricing, financing structures and tax audit defence. In this context he has been advising major Dutch clients for a number of years, in particular as to tax aspects in the context Germany/The Netherlands. Ingo is fluent in German and English.

Gerd Jumpertz, tax partner at the office in Düsseldorf, joined KPMG in 1990. He has extensive experience in delivering tax-related advice to Dutch and other international clients including tax due diligence reviews, structuring of acquisitions, restructurings and reorganizations as well as all kinds of compliance work. Gerd is fluent in German and English.

Simone Reisewitz, senior manager at the office in Düsseldorf, joined KPMG in 2000. She is a German “Steuerberater” and Attorney-at-Law. Simone has wide experience of tax structuring, in particular national and cross-border transactions, refinancing and reorganisations. She provides a high level of experience of tax planning for group companies and multinationals with a focus on Dutch clients. In this context, she has especially advised on German/Dutch cross-border transactions and was seconded to KPMG Meijburg & Co. Simone is fluent in German and English and has basic knowledge in Dutch. .

Thomas Peschke, manager at the office in Düsseldorf, joined KPMG Law in 2007. He is an Attorney-at-Law and has broad experience in national and cross-border M&A transactions for national as well as international clients. He is working for Dutch, German, European and Asian multinational clients on the acquisition of businesses, the restructuring of company groups and corporate financing questions. He is also involved in advising structures for non-domestic investors. Thomas is fluent in German and English.
