Add by searching Amazon’s database Search for items by typing the title or creator in the search field in the top right. All items that match your search in the Amazon database will show in a drop down bar. You can also open Amazon in your web browser and drag an item from there directly into Delicious Library. When you first open Delicious Library 3, you will have the option to Start with a small sample library. The sample library is a good way to get to know the app. Delete all sample items and start your own new library by highlighting all sample items and press delete.
Veterans If you are a Delicious Library veteran, when you first open Delicious Library 3, you will likely want to Import library from Delicious Library 2. A pop up box will appear asking whether you’d like to import your library from Library 2. If you miss this step it’s still easy to import your library. In the menu across the top of the screen go to File > Import From > Delicious Library 2 File… If you are coming from Delicious Library 1, Import library from Delicious Library 1 using the same method listed above except select “Library 1 File” instead.

In each area, you have the option to view all items or only items in a single category (books, movies, music, video games and games). In Delicious Library 3 your item types are not shown in shelves but as icons in the bar across the bottom of the screen. Click on one to display different items of that type. iTunes View your iTunes collection as a bookshelf, list, or in charts using the icons at the left of the toolbar. For Delicious Library to access your iBooks, both iTunes and Delicious Library must be open at the same time. The iTunes pane does not have a right sidebar.
Custom Shelves Drag items from anywhere to add them to shelves in the left sidebar. If the shelves list is closed, linger on the left of the window with a dragged item to open it. You can populate Delicious Library 3’s new, smarter shelves by setting rules and manually adding or removing items. Adding an item to a new shelf will not remove it from other shelves. Deleting items from your shelf will not delete them from your entire library. Rules are now inclusive as well as exclusive. You can set rules to exclude Movies but you can manually add a movie as an exception to the rule. The best of both worlds!
Publish Shelves Delicious Library 3 now remembers multiple published sites: set up publishing to Dropbox, FTP site, Google Drive, and other places. You can also live preview published shelves and control privacy settings.
