Grappa

At Spazzo Italian Grill & Wine Bar, we are committed to showcasing some of the best wines the Pacific Northwest and Italy have to offer. We have carefully crafted our extensive cellar to complement our fresh, chef-inspired, Italian cuisine. With over 20 wines by the glass and over 120 selections by the bottle, we are confident that your perfect marriage of food and wine is just moments away. Cin Cin!

Grappa is an eau-de-vie (brandy) made from distilling the pomace (skins, pulp, and seeds) of grapes after they are pressed for wine. Grappa can be tremendously floral and complex. The flavors of grappa, like wine, are dependant on the grape varietals used. Grappa is a perfect digestif and the spirit of choice for a café corretto (“corrected coffee”). Try one solo or in a freshly brewed espresso. With over 800 wineries, Washington is home to some of the world’s best wine country. Most of our world class wine is grown east of the Cascades, where the summers are hot and the winters are cold. The Columbia Valley AVA is our largest appellation, covering over one third of Eastern Washington and includes many smaller AVAs such as Red Mountain and Horse Heaven Hills. Walla Walla is the epicenter of Columbia Valley, a four hour drive from Seattle, with beautiful restaurants, hotels and tasting rooms, a perfect home base to explore wine country. Don’t have time for an overnighter? Woodinville is just a short drive to the northeast of Seattle and boasts over 90 tasting rooms showcasing wines made all over the state.
