Get pumped for summer! We’ve been preparing for the summer all year! We’re so excited for camp this summer and we hope you are too! Be sure to register early to guarantee a spot for your child! Counselor/Leader-in-Training Programs During the first two weeks of camp, June 20-24 and June 27-July 1, participants will integrate traditional summer camp activities with teamwork challenges, local volunteer work and developing their personal leadership styles. We’ll use hands-on, interactive learning to get us out of our comfort zones to grow in a safe, fun environment. Check out 2016’s Weekly Themes! Each week, in addition to special theme activities we’ll go swimming, do crafts and play games. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided each day.

In preparation to represent Lexington Parks and Recreation at the City’s annual Olympic Day Event, campers will learn from physical trainers and nutritionists to feel their best and develop healthy lifelong habits. In addition to Olympic Day and training, campers will participate in regular camp activities like going to the pool, playing games and making crafts!

Week 2: Around the World in 5 Days June 27-July 1, Registration Deadline is June 20 at 5PM.

Week 3: Gardens Galore July 11-July 15, Registration Deadline is June 27 at 5PM.

We’ll travel the world staying right here in camp! Campers will have the opportunity to participate in dances, crafts and activities from around the world. We’ll even try to learn a new language! Have your camper join us this week to expand their international awareness and become a more global citizen, in addition to our regular activities.

Having a healthy diet of many colors originates in the garden. We’ll learn about gardening and cooking to be active and healthy. We’ll have cooking demonstrations, work in the garden and visit a local farm to see what it’s all about. Campers will even be able to create and take home their very own miniature container garden!

Week 4: Adventure Race July 18-July 22, Registration Deadline is July 11 at 5PM. Do you like S’mores? Have you ever paddled a canoe? Can you name that tree? This week at camp we’ll learn how to paddle a canoe, make nature crafts from things we find in the park, hike through the trees and more! Campers will leave with their own natural decorations to remind them how to care for and have fun in our outdoor world! Adventure fun and regular camp activities are in store this week at camp!

Week 5: Lexington’s Got Talent July 25-July 29, Registration Deadline is July 18 at 5PM.

Week 6: Wild Water Fun August 1-August 5, Registration Deadline is July 25 at 5PM.

Can you sing? Can you dance? Paint or draw? We will learn about several forms of self-expression including music, dance, and painting from professional artists. The week will culminate in our All Camp Talent Show where campers can show off their new or improved skills!

Sure to be the most popular, fantastic week of camp, cool down by staying soaked! We’ll have fun at the pool, visit with fire fighters, play water field games and relays, and paddle a canoe on the pond. If you join us this week be sure to keep your eyes open for flying water balloons!

Come Join Us! Paddleboard & Paddleboard Yoga Paddleboard classes are all levels and taught the week before Paddleboard Yoga. Paddleboard Yoga is designed for intermediate level Stand Up Paddleboarding. Students should have prior knowledge of yoga and SUP but not required. Both classes are taught by a certified instructor who will expand participants knowledge, optimize their techniques and improve efficiency of essential paddling and yoga. Paddleboard and gear will be provided. Participants must be able to swim.
