NOTE: We are “all about literacy” here at LSD. With that in mind, we decided to publish the script to our Christmas program. It is our hope that families can read the script and look at the photos from the play, and talk about it at home. Enjoy!

Do you know what time of year it is? Yes, it is Christmas time! Are you excited! I’m excited, too. Well, tonight is a special night. It’s Dec 21, 2006 - the last night in the dorm before the Christmas Holiday. Four girls are in their dorm room, packing and getting ready to go home for the Christmas Holidays! There is Hope, and Tachia, and Kathleen, and Kellie. They all believe in Santa. And then there is Victoria. She has many doubts about Santa. Let’s see if her friends can convince Victoria that Santa really lives . . .

The day after Christmas, is called St Stephen's Day and is almost as important as Christmas Day. For adults, they watch football games and enjoy family gatherings. For children, they go from door to door with a fake bird on a stick, singing and dancing. They ask for money 'for the starving wren', “Oh, please, can we have some money for the starving bird? Please?” They keep the money for themselves. PPT – IRELAND Map
