Cutting Instructions Please note: All strips are cut across the width of fabric (WOF) from selvage to selvage edge unless otherwise noted. From the Book Panel - Lt. Blue (A): • Fussy cut (12) 8 ½” blocks. From the Starlet - Red (B), cut: • (6) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (24) 2” x 8 ½” strips. • (8) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (24) 2” x 11 ½” strips. • (2) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (6) 1 ½” x 8 ½” strips. • (2) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (6) 1 ½” x 10 ½” strips. • (7) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding. From the Globes - Blue (C), cut: • (1) 5 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (3) 5 ½” x 10 ½” strips. From the Stripe - Lt. Blue (D), cut: • (1) 10 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (6) 5 ½” x 10 ½” strips. From the Ships, Boats, Lighthouses - Blue (E), cut: • (1) 5 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (3) 5 ½” x 10 ½” strips. From the Buildings Collage - Green (F), cut: • (1) 5 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (3) 5 ½” x 10 ½” strips. From the Scenic Transportation - Green (G), cut: • (2) 7 ½” x 50 ½” LOF strips. From the Eclipse - Black (H), cut: • (6) 1 ¾” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (4) 1 ¾” x 50 ½” strips. • (4) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2 ½” x 64 ½” strips. • (3) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2 ½” x 54 ½” strips. From the Airplanes, Helicopters, Hot Air Balloons - Lt. Blue (I), cut: • (1) 8 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (3) 8 ½” squares. From the Continents - Blue (Backing), cut: • (2) 62” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 62” x 76” back.

Travel Around the World Sewing Instructions 1. Sew (1) 2” x 8 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of (1) 8 ½” Fabric A block. Sew (1) 2” x 11 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A block. Trim the block to measure 10 ½” square to make (1) A block (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (12) A blocks total.

4. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric C strip to the top of (1) A block to make (1) Block Two (Fig. 4). Repeat to make (3) Block Twos total.

2. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 8 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of (1) 8 ½” Fabric I square. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric I square to make (1) I Block (Fig. 2). Repeat to make (3) I Blocks total.

5. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric F strip to the top of (1) A block to make (1) Block Three (Fig. 5). Repeat to make (3) Block Threes total.

3. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric D strip to the bottom of (1) A block to make (1) Block One (Fig. 3). Repeat to make (6) Block Ones total.

Travel Around the World Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.) 7. Sew (5) assorted blocks together to make (1) row. Repeat to make (3) rows total.

10. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 64 ½” Fabric H strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 54 ½” Fabric H strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top. 11. Layer and quilt as desired.

8. Sew (1) 1 ¾” x 50 ½” Fabric H strip to the top and to the bottom of (1) 7 ½” x 50 ½” Fabric G strip to make (1) G row. Repeat to make a second G row.

12. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric B strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

9. Sew the (3) rows and (2) G rows together, alternating them, to make the quilt top.

13. Bind as desired. H
