PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE The Alton Park and Recreation Department is committed to the efficient delivery of quality programs and services to its citizens. This commitment is the foundation of all our endeavors to make our community a better place now and for future generations. You may register in person at our business office at #2 Emmie L. Kaus Lane, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We accept cash, check or credit payments. 3. Mail in registration to the department office at 2 Emmie L. Kaus Lane. Registration form must be completed, signed by parent if a children’s program, and fee enclosed with check made payable to: Alton Park and Recreation. Some registration forms are available for download on our website, www.alton-il.com 4. All fees are subject to change without notice. 5. Some programs are limited in size; and registration will be handled on a first come, first serve basis. 6. When programs reach capacity, additional names will be placed on a waiting list. 7. If a program minimum is not reached, a refund will be issued within 4 – 6 weeks. 8. A fee will be charged for registration after deadline. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS 1. Request for refunds must be made prior to the start of the program. 2. Processing of the refund will require 4 – 6 weeks. 3. There will be a $5.00 service charge for all refunds prior to the first day of the program unless cancelled by the department. If late fee was paid, it will be forfeited upon refund. 4. Once a program or games begin, there will be no refunds unless a medical problem causes request. 5. The Department reserves the right to cancel programs that do not receive sufficient participation. Full refund will be issued for all cancelled programs. INSURANCE The Alton Park and Recreation Department does not assume responsibility for injuries or accidents occurring at sponsored programs or activities. Please review your own personal insurance program to be certain that you and your family have proper coverage. Organizations using City property must provide a certificate of insurance. PHOTO POLICY Registrants and participants permit the taking of photos and videos of themselves and their children during department activities, for publication and use as the department deems necessary. RETURNED CHECK POLICY A $25.00 service charge will be assessed on all checks returned due to insufficient funds. TALENT SEARCH Do you have a special skill or hobby that you would like offered or would be able to instruct? With our ever expanding program, we are always on the lookout for new ideas, programs, and instructors. Call us at 463-3580. VANDALISM We need your help! YOUTH LEAGUE Boys and Girls in grades K- 9 Learn the game of soccer through practice and team competition. Teams will play a 10-game schedule at Gordon Moore Park starting on September 10, 2016. MICRO-SOCCER Boys and Girls ages 4 and 5 A learn-to-play soccer program emphasizing basic skill development, group interaction and fun. We will have two sessions this year. Session 1 will meet on Sunday afternoons for 4 weeks in April/May and Session II will meet on Sunday afternoons for 4 weeks in September/October. Players must wear shin guards and tennis shoes (no cleats) and bring a #3 soccer ball. BOYS AND GIRLS COMPLETING GRADES K-5 There will be 3 two-week sessions in June and July. Sessions will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday – Friday at Gordon Moore Park to enjoy games, contests, arts and crafts and other special activities. No transportation will be provided. FEES: $40.00/per session.

HASKELL DOLL HOUSE TEA PARTIES

Parents can hold a tea party for their children at Haskell Doll House, limit to 8 children. Call Carolyn Dooley at 465-3026 to make reservations. Linens and tea party dishes are available for an extra fee.

YOUTH SKILLS CLINIC Boys and Girls in 1st grade Learn the fundamentals of passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, defense, and offense with a skills challenge the last week. The 7-week program will meet on Saturdays in December and January.

DISC GOLF An 18-hole disc golf course has been laid out in the formerly unusable terrain at Rock Spring Park. Play begins at the area adjacent to the baseball diamond.
