The SADD National Conference Sponsor the National SADD Conference Each year 600+ SADD Chapter students, advisors, State Coordinators and professionals from the teen health and safety community come to the national conference to celebrate the power of positive peer-pressure and receive intensive training in three specialized prevention subject tracks: Traffic Safety, Substance Abuse, and Mental Health, Chapter Development and Advisors. In addition to prevention education, the Conference offers 30+ youthand-adult-led workshops that also include valuable life skills training in the areas of Peer Leadership, Advocacy, Public Speaking, Media Training, Fundraising, and Team Building.

The Value of the National Conference: Beyond Pittsburgh Sponsoring the SADD National Conference extends benefits back to the student’s local community because the training and skills developed during the Conference are implemented in each Chapter’s local community in the year ahead. Sponsors and exhibitors are an integral part of this conference and come to make one-on-one connections with this powerful community. Sponsorship opportunities include meaningful, high-impact features such as exhibiting, conducting training workshops, and utilizing this highly sought after group of students for focus groups. “The SADD National Conference has changed my life: I have learned the skills I need to be successful in any future plans I have; I have made life long friendships and discovered who I am and want to be!” -Maddie Seel

The SADD National Conference SADD 35th Anniversary Symposium Series

$5,000.00

2016 marks the 35th Anniversary for SADD, the nation’s premier youth health and safety organization. SADD was founded on the idea that young people, when empowered, can work with their peers, parents, schools, and communities to combat the destructive pressures they face. Today, SADD teens have identified three priority areas that they say represent the greatest threats to their health and safety- traffic safety, substance abuse, and personal health and safety. While SADD and our partners have much to celebrate, there is still much work to be done! Thousands of teens continue to loose their lives each year to causes that are completely preventable. Our birthday wish is simple- bring together the leaders in youth health and safety to evaluate where we are in our priority areas, what promising practices are working, and where do we go next Saturday, June 25, 2016 one-day symposium topics include: Suicide. Eating Disorders. Anxiety. The effects of mental health and cultural pressures continue to challenge young people. This panel will focus on these emerging issues that impact the personal health and safety of young people. Experts in the field will share the latest research on these issues and the connection they share to other issues. SADD will highlight new programs and activities that are designed to raise awareness and reduce the stigma on mental health.

Symposium Sponsor Benefits • Company logo projected onscreen at during symposium • Logo giveaway item to symposium attendees (mutually agreed upon item) • Acknowledgment of your company’s sponsorship on symposium and conference signage at the SADD Registration Desk, in the conference program booklet; in SADD’s electronic newsletter, The SADDvocate (email newsletter just for students and advisors); and in the 2016 SADD Annual Report
