The convention center was overflowing with approximately 2,500 job seekers and 97 employers in attendance. The Maryland Workforce Exchange had Résumé Doctors on hand to assist job seekers with résumé reviews and job seeker services. The Job Service staff also provided information regarding services provided by the Maryland Workforce Exchange. The employers included a mix of Ocean City businesses and other businesses from the Lower Eastern Shore. While the restaurants and hotels were still a majority, there were many other skilled, professional positions available, from commercial truck drivers to medical to high level administrative positions. According to Lisa Dennis, Events Director from The Greater Ocean City, MD Chamber of Commerce, while the quantity of candidates were lower this year, the employers were very impressed with the skills, knowledge and abilities of the job candidates.
