Nottingham City Homes Job Description 1. JOB TITLE: APPRENTICE PLUMBER Team: Property Services Grade: Craft Responsible to: Project Manager Responsible for: Last Update: April 2015

2. JOB PURPOSE: To undertake training, both on and off site in plumbing work in order to achieve competent trade skills together with a recognised qualification.

3. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •

To undertake training alongside a qualified Plumber on site in all aspects of Plumbing including domestic, water service, rainwater pipe, soil stacks and sanitary fittings.



To carry out work, following instructions to required standard and quality at various dwellings, corporate buildings & construction projects.



To work as a team member alongside other trades, colleagues, partners and members of the public.



To complete all required documentation accurately, on a regular basis, and to specified deadlines.



To maintain and keep clean any allocated transport.



To ensure full compliance with all safety procedures and requirements of statutory legislation.



To be committed to attend the local College for appropriate off site training to obtain the National Vocational Qualification Level 2.



To attend quarterly review meetings with the Learning and Development Officer to establish progress made against training plans and evaluate training needs on an ongoing basis.



To attend any other relevant training courses as identified by Management.

4. GENERIC RESPONSIBILITIES: •

Responsible and accountable for promoting and encouraging tenants and leaseholders to be involved as respected partners in influencing, developing and improving services in their local area through the menu of involvement for tenant involvement.



To attend any other relevant training courses as identified by Management.

Occupational/Technical/Prof essional Qualification(s):

MEASUREMENT REQUIREMENTS A 0a. Level 2 Maths and English or GCSE Grade A-C or the ability to work towards them. 0b. A commitment towards continual personal professional development. 1a. Able to understand measurements and carry out simple calculations including formulae 1b. To be able to demonstrate experience of working in a team.
