POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE Program Development Manager ROLE PURPOSE The Program Development Manger provides leadership and development around a range of key projects and programs across the organisation. This role is responsible for the development of any new programs across existing and new program and business areas, therapeutic programs and new initiatives to support growth and innovation. LOCATION AND REPORTS This role is based in Beenleigh and has no direct reports. Youth Care Support Services Pty Ltd. (YCSS) is a dynamic organisation providing a range of Licensed Out of Home and Residential Care Services to young people referred by the Department of Communities, Child Safety & Disabilities. The service also offers intensive in home support, respite services, life skills, crisis accommodation, and a range of therapeutic programs for children and young people aged between 12-17 years with complex behaviours. POSITION PROFILE 1. Program and project development, implementation and management of existing and new program areas (KRA 1, 2, 3, 4) 2. Develop new business and program initiatives in line with the YCSS Strategic Canvas (KRA 1, 2) 3. Monitor project milestones to ensure performance indicators are met for organisational growth (KRA 1, 2) 4. Deliver program and project outcomes in line with contemporary project methodology (KRA 1, 2, 4) 5. Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver requirements of projects (KRA 2) 6. Manage budget allocation for assigned projects and programs including preparation and presentation of status reports (KRA 2) 7. Presentation of project and program milestones to the Project Steering Committee and SMT (Senior Management Team) (KRA 1, 2) 8. Seek new business and program opportunities to support organisational growth and innovation (KRA 1)

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT The following Conditions of Employment are required for the role Personal and Professional Characteristics:

Analytical, ability to organise and prioritise. Contemporary project development and management methodologies. Positively communicates with influence. Can synthesise information, bring forward ideas and take initiative.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year experience in a project leadership role or in developing programs within human services, social work or psychology. The candidate must have knowledge and or experience in working with children and families and demonstrate and understanding of the child protection system.

Qualifications:

Desirable Formal qualification (Bachelor or higher level) in social work, psychology or human services. Eligibility for membership to relevant professional member association. Essential Formal qualification (Degree or higher) in social work, psychology, behavioural science or related discipline. Eligibility for membership to relevant professional association i.e. ACWA Australian Community Workers Association, AASW Australian Association of Social Workers, APA Australian Psychological Association or other relevant Association. Experience in development and managing projects and programs.

Salary:

To be discussed in interview depending on qualification and experience in a similar role

Hours of Work:

Full time – 12 month contract to be reviewed with potential for ongoing employment.

Probation:

This position holds a 3-month probation period and ongoing periodic performance evaluation through the Annual Review & Development Process and Executive Supervision
