Prelude Psalm XVIII Benedetto Marcelo At the Lamb's High Feast Jakob Hintze/Robert Powell Let us quiet our hearts before the Lord.

Call to Worship Philippians 2:5-11 Leader: Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: People: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, Leader: but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. People: And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross! Leader: Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, People: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, All: and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

**Hymn All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name! Hymn # 296

**The Invocation

**The Apostles’ Creed “I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.”

**The Gloria Patri Hymn # 734 Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.

The First Scripture Lesson The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23 Leader: The Word of the Lord People: Thanks be to God

The Confession of Our Sins “Receive my confession, O most loving and gracious Heavenly Father, through the Lord Jesus Christ, the only hope for the salvation of my soul. Grant to me true contrition, so that day and night I may be sorry from the heart for my sins. Savior of the world, O good Jesus, who gave yourself to the death of the cross to save sinners, look upon me, most wretched of all sinners; have pity on me, and give me the light to know my sins, true sorrow for them, and a firm purpose of never committing them again. Amen.”

Assurance of Pardon 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

The Presentation of New Member Kaela Leighann Dalton

The Second Scripture Lesson To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder, a witness of Christ's sufferings and one who also will share in the glory to be revealed: 2 Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers-- not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. 5 Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." 1 Peter 5:1-5 Leader: The Word of the Lord People: Thanks be to God

Pastoral Prayer & The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen

The Anthem Psalm 139 Allen Pote Lord, you have searched me and known me, You know ev’ry thing I do. When I rise up, when I lie down, you are with me through and through. Before a word is on my tongue, you know what I will say; your presence follows me day by day. Where can I flee from your spirit? Where can I go to run away? If I go to heaven, or stray from you, you are there. Lord, you have searched me and known me, You know ev’ry thing I do. When I rise up, when I lie down, you are with me through and through, before a word is on my tongue, you know what I will say, your presence follows me day by day. Search me, O God, and know me, Try me and know my heart. See if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Amen.

The Third Scripture Lesson 11 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13 The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. 14 "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me-15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father-- and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life-- only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father." John 10:11-18 Leader: The Word of the Lord People: Thanks be to God

**The Offertory Hymn Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus Hymn # 679

** Offertory Statement & Prayer of Dedication Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Colossians 3:1-2

The Offertory Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross Mary McDonald

**The Doxology Hymn # 731 Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise him, all creatures here below; praise him above, ye heav’nly host: praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen. Children K4 – 2nd Grades may be dismissed to Children’s Church in Rm. 8

Announcements Welcome New Member Kaela Dalton is 11 years old, and is in 6th grade at the Paideia School of Tampa Bay. Kaela loves this church and looks forward to serving here and seeing her friends every week. In her spare time, Kaela typically immerses herself in cooking, baking, and art and craft projects. She also loves hanging out with friends and family. When Kaela grows up, she wants to move to Chattanooga and one day own a cafe. Kaela has grown up in the faith, but believes last summer's youth camp at Kalaqua was very eye-opening and impressionable on her heart.
