Midwest Collectors To Attend AAMS Regional Meeting A cordial invitation to visit St. Louis during the American Philatelic Society's Annual Convention is extended to all AA,MS members by Robert W. Murch, vice-president of the American Air Mail Society and General Chairman of the APS Conventton. Convention headquarters and the colorful 350 frame national stamp exhibition and 35 table dealer's bourse are housed in the air-conditioned Hotel Jefferson in downtown St. Louis from Wednesday, September 5th, through Sunday, September 9th. A large section of the show will eonsist of airmail stamps and covers and three trophies are provided for airm~il entries. The general theme of the convention is '":Dhe Pleasures of Stamp Collecting and Philatelic Fellowship". If you wish to look at stamps, buy stamps, and .talk about stamps, St. Louis is the place for you in September. A meeting of all AAMS members and airpost collectors is planned for 2 p. m. Saturday, September 8th at the Jefferson Hotel, followed by a special trip to the Lindbergh ·Memorial >Museum in Forest Park, which

AA:MS President Rafael Oriol of Havana, Cuba, will be in St. Louis for the AAMS meeting. For those collectors in the middle west who missed out ·on the Havana CUPEX show of 195'5 and the !May FIPEX show in New York, the St. Louis APS Convention affords a fine opportunity to see first-ihand a national stamp show and bourse.
