Presented by Produce Business magazine and PBUK, the APS is a brand new event bringing the international fresh produce community together in Holland, on November 2-4, 2016 at the iconic Westergasfabriek. This information sheet has been created with you in mind - to help you make the most of your time at the show and maximise your networking opportunities. Individual schedules have also been created for you to download giving you exact details on the events taking place during the trade show.

THE AMSTERDAM PRODUCE SHOW AND CONFERENCE 2016 THE APS VENUE The APS takes place onsite at the Westergasfabriek on Wednesday November 2 – Thursday November 3, 2016 at: Westergasfabriek Haarlemmerweg 8E 1014 BE Amsterdam, Holland Tel: +31 (020) 586 07 10 The event takes place in the venue’s Gashouder and Transformatorhuis.

HOW TO GET TO THE VENUE Westergasfabriek is centrally located and easily accessible by both car and public transport.

THE AMSTERDAM PRODUCE SHOW AND CONFERENCE 2016 Parking The Westergasfabriek is located in Westerpark and is a car-free environment. You can park your car at: Q Park Westergasfabriek Van Bleiswijkstraat 8 1051 DG Amsterdam Located opposite the Westergasfabriek (€ 2, – per 35 minutes / € 30, – a day) We are providing complimentary parking tickets for attendees. The car park has 400 spaces. It may say it is FULL but APS has reserved a set amount of spaces. Proceed to the gate and say you are parking for the APS and you will be admitted. *Please note - keep the ticket stub given on entry to the parking lot and collect your voucher at registration

REGISTRATION & TICKET PAYMENT Everyone onsite must be registered and wear a name badge. For security reasons, no person will be allowed onsite without registering. Unless you are a registered exhibitor, you can collect your attendee badge for the APS from the Registration Desk in the Gashouder from 18.00 on Wednesday November 2, 2016 through to 16.30 on Thursday November 3. You will receive your Show Directory and attendee bag with full exhibitor listing and event agenda when you collect your badge. Exhibitors will be able to register earlier on November 2, during the set-up period. Please bring your registration confirmation containing your unique barcode to make the registration process as efficient as possible. Any outstanding payments for tickets must be made before accessing any part of the APS event.

Thought Leaders Breakfast Panel Thursday November 3, 2016: 07.30 - 09.15 in the Transformatorhuis, Westergasfabriek World-renowned Perishable Pundit Jim Prevor will chair a discussion with some of the world’s leading produce and buying experts. Enjoy the conversation and an informal breakfast.

Trade Exhibition Thursday November 3, 2016: 09.30 – 17.30 in the Gashouder, Westergasfabriek Our boutique one-day exhibition features exhibitors from every corner of the globe. The show floor will showcase international growers, exporters and importers, distributors, wholesalers, foodservice suppliers and retailers and highlight the new products, innovations and technologies set to make an impact on the produce scene this year. Educational Seminar Programme Thursday November 3, 2016 Main Seminar Stage from 10.20 - 17.00 in the Transformatorhuis, Westergasfabriek Pop-up Seminars from 10.30 - 17.00 on the show floor, in the Gashouder, Westergasfabriek The main seminar stage will focus on unique lessons that can be learned from the extraordinary role Holland plays in the global produce industry. Four feature zones on the show floor will look at the ways in which both Dutch and international companies are addressing the crucial topics of Innovation, Sustainability, Health and Education, and these these will run throughout the seminar sessions. THE AMSTERDAM PRODUCE SHOW AND CONFERENCE 2016 Chef Demonstrations Thursday November 3, 2016: 10.30 - 15.00 on the show floor, in the Gashouder, Westergasfabriek The APS Chef Demonstration Theatre will run alongside the main trade exhibition #celebratingFRESH. Our carefully selected group of leading Holland-based chefs demonstrate how they are placing fresh produce at the heart of their high-end menus and showcase a variety of cooking styles and trends using many of the products that visitors can view and source on the show floor. Please refer to the Chef Demonstration schedule in the Show Directory for detailed listings and timings.

Media Masterclass Thursday November 3, 2016: 15.00 –17.00 on the show floor, in the Gashouder, Westergasfabriek Members of the media are invited to attend the exclusive Media Masterclass, presented by Naresh Ramdjas. The Masterclass will open with a champagne reception. Jasper Udink ten Cate (Creative Chef) will introduce his new cookery book ‘How To Create a Mind-Blowing Food Experience’ and demonstrate a recipe. The Media Masterclass will conclude with a chef demonstration by pastry chef, Hidde de Brabande, who will demonstrate his fine taste for desserts using mostly vegetables and flowers.

Student Programme Thursday November 3, 2016: 09.30 – 17.00 on the show floor, in the Gashouder, Westergasfabriek The APS links students and horticultural educational institutions in Europe with the produce industry to establish connections that will help the industry find its next generation of business leaders. Horticultural and business students are led by experienced and respected industry mentors throughout a morning of seminars, and then hosted on a walk-through of the show floor to understand the breadth of opportunity awaiting them within the fresh produce industry. Pop-Up Careers Fair connecting industry with its emerging leaders Holland is home to some of the most advanced horti- and agri-food educational establishments anywhere in the world and at the APS, we will provide the industry with an opportunity to interact and engage with students and professors from the institutions that are expertly preparing the next generation of produce professionals. For the first time at one of our shows, we are also going to provide an area on the show floor for both Dutch and international students to take part in a Pop-Up Careers Fair and give attendees and exhibitors at the APS a one-off opportunity to meet a large and varied cohort of the young people it needs to fill widening skills gaps in the sector and drive this ever-changing industry forward. For two hours (15.00 to 17.00) on the main show floor, HAS University will host a vibrant group of students, all of who have their eyes firmly fixed on a career within the produce industry, whether that be in Holland or overseas, working anywhere along the supply chain or as a buyer, and many more besides.

Industry Tours Friday November 4, 2016 from 08.00 Our four specialised Friday tours take in retail, production, trading and logistics to give a varied insight into the nuts and bolts of the Dutch produce industry. Selected tours will also take in local foodie and cultural destinations. The tours depart from the reception of the Hilton Amsterdam between 08.00-08.30. Please refer to your tour confirmation for the precise tour schedule. If you haven’t booked your space on one of the APS tours, there may still be availability.
