Obedience Judge MISS VICKI ETHERINGTON Miss Etherington joined Dogs NSW as a child member. The dog world is has proved to be her life and passion. She has bred, owned, trained and made up several breed and obedience champions also competing in non slip retrieving trials and Gundog Working test. Currently she exhibits in the conformation ring, obedience, tracking, agility, herding, dancing and endurance. Being an official accredited government temperament tester, representing Dogs NSW. She also represent Dogs NSW in the Animal Advisory Committee of the Woollahra Council and the CARG Committee of Centennial Park NSW. Judging Status Full panel Obedience, Tracking, Endurance, Agility and Gundog Working Test. Venue & Accommodation BARGO SPORTS CLUB Bargo Sports club is a family friendly bowling club on the outskirts of the Southern Highlands. Offering all the facilities you would expect from a first class club. Formally known as Bargo Bowling Club, Bargo Sports Club has been in operation since 1969 and has a long history of supporting its local community. With over 2500 members Bargo Sports Club is an active and progressive club taking pride in offering local members a first class experience. BREED SEMINAR The Versatility of dogs working in today’s Society Guest speaker Mr Steve Austin Saturday 4th April 2009 Join us as Steve Austin gives an extensive talk on the versatility of dogs working in todays society. Through his success in a wide variety of training application, Steve has become recognised as Australia’s leading dog trainer. He is highly respected Australia wide as well as internationally.

For the last 2 year Steve has been one of three main speakers at the auspicious American Police Scent Detector Dog (Narcotics & Explosives) Conference in California. The Californian Narcotic Canine (CNCA), under the flag of American Homeland Security, have certified Steve as an Official Certifier of scent detection teams. He has judged the European Drug Detector Dog Championship held in the Czech Republic three times. Steve is currently the President of the Pet Industries Association of Australia for the second time.

Over the last 25 years Steve’s accomplishments as a speaker/ lecturer/ master of ceremonies, in competition obedience and field trialling, in television and other areas are wide ranging and varied. From lecturing to American Law Enforcement Agencies, to training Australia’s first truffle detector dog in Tasmania, to speaking on animal training at Taronga Zoo and his involvement with the Mount Everest Kennel Club. Steve’s knowledge and experience is consider second to none in Australia.
