Power off the radio.

Emergency Mode After entering the Emergency mode, the radio will switch to the preset Emergency Channel. The complete emergency alarm process includes four stages: ID transmission, emergency tone transmission, background tone transmission and forced reception. The recurrence times or duration of each stage is set by your dealer. The Emergency mode includes: 1.

Not transmit the emergency tone when alarming.

2.

The transmitting party can hear the emergency tone when alarming.

3.

The receiving party can hear the emergency tone when alarming.

4.

Both the transmitting and receiving parties hear the emergency tone when alarming.

Lone Worker In the Lone Worker mode, do operate the radio within a preset period (programmable by your dealer); otherwise the radio will enter the Emergency mode automatically to send signals for help. Ways to enable the Lone Worker function: 1.

Press and hold down the key programmed as Lone Worker to toggle the function on/off. LWORK.ON (/OFF) appears on LCD.

Off Hook Decode If the function is enabled by your dealer, CTCSS/CDCSS signalings are valid no matter whether the microphone is on the hook; otherwise CTCSS/CDCSS signalings are invalid in the Off Hook mode.

Time-Out Timer (TOT) Set for each channel independently, and this is available to all valid channels. None of the timers relating to the TOT function have memory function and all of them will reset when the channel is switched or when the radio restarts. The TOT function is disabled when the radio is in the Emergency mode. Auto transmission as auto response has no effect on TOT.

Tx Time Out Time TOT is used to prevent user from transmitting on the same channel for extended period of time. This also protects the radio from damage caused by long time transmission. If the continuous transmission period exceeds the preset time (programmable by your dealer: Infinite, 1-255 seconds), the transmission will be suspended and an alert tone will sound. Release the PTT key to terminate the alert tone. Note: The TOT time of the radio is Infinite by default. Please contact your dealer if you want to change it.

TOT Pre-Alert Time When this function is activated, the radio will sound the TOT pre-alert tone when the TOT pre-alert time (programmable by your dealer: Off or 1-10 seconds before the TOT expiration) expires.

TOT Re-key Time When this function is activated, the transmission will be suspended if the transmission duration exceeds the time limitation, until the TOT re-key time (programmable: Off, 1-10 seconds) expires.

TOT Reset Time Press the PTT key, and TOT times. Release the PTT key, and the TOT reset timer times. TOT won’t reset upon the release of the PTT key unless the TOT reset timer times out. The TOT reset time (Off, 1-255 seconds) is set by your dealer.

Programmable Auxiliary Functions Your dealer can program the following auxiliary functions to the programmable keys [P1]-[P4] or [▲]/[▼].

Frequency Reverse If communications between radios are disrupted because of a long distance from the repeater, the Reverse Frequency function can be used to re-establish communications to another radio. When the function is activated, the transmit frequency and receive frequency will be reversed. The corresponding CTCSS/CDCSS encode and decode signals will also be reversed. Press the key programmed as Reverse to toggle the function on/off.
