For over 20 years the Corvallis Environmental Center (CEC) has been one of the keystones of our community. Through programs focused on environmental literacy, food and farming education, local food security, energy conservation and climate action, the CEC has established itself as a regional leader in the grassroots environmental movement. In 2015, supporters, donors, volunteers and staff have made it possible for us to increase the reach and impact of the CEC like never before. A growing variety of programs at Avery House Nature Center inspire both the young and young at heart. We expanded the facilities to accommodate an increasing number of families who look to us to lead their children in discovering a deep connection with nature, strengthening the next generation of environmental and community leaders. The Edible Corvallis Initiative (ECI) had over 800 volunteers give their time to produce almost 3 tons of food at the Starker Arts Garden for Education (SAGE), directly increasing access to fresh, sustainably produced food for those who need it most. The Farm to School program received a $100,000 grant from the USDA that

will maximize the amount of local food available to children in our schools, encouraging them to make healthy eating choices, and strengthening area agricultural businesses. Energize Corvallis established itself as one of the most influential energy-efficiency programs in the region. It continues to assist the community in making energy-efficient choices for their homes, businesses and the planet. Energize Corvallis also expanded Classrooms Take Charge to include 18 schools in 5 states across the Pacific Northwest. Corvallis also ranked in the top ten of cities competing for the $5 million Georgetown University Energy Prize, saving residents an estimated $1.9 million in the process. None of this would be possible without YOU. Join us in 2016 as we continue to educate, engage and inspire people to create a healthy, sustainable community. Thank you for all of your support, Rick Flacco Board Vice President

Rick Flacco works in the field of energy conservation and is passionate about helping people reduce their homes energy usage. He relocated to Corvallis from Montana five years ago, where he received a degree in Natural Resource Conservation. Rick serves on both the Executive and Policies and Procedures Committee.

To educate, engage and inspire people to create a healthy, sustainable community.

Avery House Nature Center encourages people to discover and strengthen their connection with local ecosystems.

The Edible Corvallis Initiative mobilizes our community to make local, fresh and healthy food available to all.

Energize Corvallis works to make our city one of the most energy-efficient, climate-friendly communities in the US.

I donate due to the inspiration received from my neighbors in the Corvallis community. I have been repeatedly amazed at what people here have achieved through creativity and plain hard work. Efforts from many individuals have added up to significant quality of life benefits, much of which stems from the varied programs of the Corvallis Environmental Center. Matt Weber, CEC Board Member
