Motivation

We motivate and energise individuals, teams and organisations to achieve what they really want, not what they think they want through the influence of others. If motivation is aligned, anything is possible. Through Total Motivation we help rekindle team spirit and morale which helps build more effective, innovative, highly motivated teams and business relationships.

‘Fun Factor’ We spend the bulk of our waking hours working, but sadly our first observation in many organisations we see is that enjoyment and job satisfaction has diminished. We are serious about what we do but use unique, fresh and fun processes to get individuals and organisations to re-think their motivation, strategies and sometimes cultures if it helps rekindle their purpose. Virtually everything we do should put a smile on faces which inevitably continues after we have gone to instil a positive and enjoyable work environment. Our Team Building programmes and events have FUN written all over them!

What we do Our Team Development activities are almost always tailor-made to suit our client’s requirements. Whether you are looking for some healthy inter-team competition, a collaborative simulated or even real challenge such as a community based project, we will put together a unique programme for anything from half a day to a couple of days with a stop over if you want to get your team away. We can cater for any sized team from 3 to 300 at a venue of your choice, but favour a number of carefully selected sites.

Venues We can organise your programme anywhere in the UK (or beyond if you prefer!) and have a number of well chosen venues where we have built a rapport with local staff who work closely with us to maximise the efficiency and impact of your event or programme.

Margam Country Park

For our South Wales based clients, we have access to a superbly converted 19th century Grade II Listed House and Conference centre with the very latest Information & Communications Technology and 1000 acres of some of the most attractive countryside in South Wales. Just minutes from the M4 near Margam and only 30 minutes from Cardiff, many clients comment on the ambiance and superb facilities as being “perfect” for running their programme or event. Alternatively, we use a number of country based hotels which have superb facilities all within easy access of major routes. If you would prefer, we can of course organise an events at your own premises if time and cost considerations are issues.

New House Country Hotel

This Country House style hotel situated on the fringes of Cardiff which boasts one of the best views over the city and Bristol Channel. The attractive grounds, open fires, exquisite furnishings and award-winning restaurant combine to create the perfect setting in which to bring your teams and clients for your event.

Country Sport Activities

If it is for an outdoor team development event or simply a fun day out, our Country Sport Activity Days have proven excellent for team development and corporate entertainment. Any of the following activities can run by fully qualified staff Longbow or Re-curve Bow Archery Clay or Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting Air Rifle Field Target Shooting ‘Target’ Fly Fishing This is only a small amount of what we can offer you on your country sport corporate team building event. If you heard of something else you would like to have a go at, let us know and we’ll organise it for you – we love a challenge!

Outdoor Challenges We have experience of running a wide range of outdoor exercises ranging from orienteering and clue gathering challenges, obstacle crossing to more business related challenges such as our successful marketing game run in Alan Sugar’s ‘Apprentice’ Style. At last count we had over 250 activities and exercises we can draw upon or design one specifically for you. Our half day ‘Ultimate Challenge’ utilises a wide variety of skills and qualities where there is something for everyone to show off their skills! Our challenges don’t have to be physically challenging and will suit groups of all abilities and interests. Team effectiveness and transferable skills is what the exercises emphasise.

Murder Mystery and ‘Spymaster’ Events Our murder mystery and spy games are an ideal part of a team development exercise, or simply as a form of corporate entertainment. It is the perfect opportunity for your participants to be detectives as they solve realistic problem solving challenges that require effective teamwork and creativity. They can be indoor, outdoor or a mixture of both.

Themed Events Our themed events are designed as team development challenge days with a specific theme for events chosen. For example our Carnival Days involve a range of challenges such as juggling, plate spinning, etc all of which require the acquisition of new skills taught and assisted by our skilled facilitators. Challenges are usually achieved and learning outcomes established through the same emphasis on sound teamwork.

Indoor Events and Activities

Our clients don’t always have the time or facilities to undertake our longer outdoor events and activities and so we are able to arrange a wide range of indoor activities for groups from 3 to 50. Room sized activities such as our ‘Rollerball’ construction game, for example, works well to get teams working together to ‘break the ice’, build relationships, address particular issues or simply have fun together! Teams are required to build a giant ‘mousetrap’ type structure enabling a ball to travel across a room along a series of structures under its own ‘steam’. The activity itself and the elation of achieving the aim together never fail to bring people together.

‘Table Top’ Activities We have a range of ‘Table Top’ Team Building Activities that can be arranged to develop team strategies and vision or simply work together to strengthen bonds between participants.

Samba drumming and Percussion We are able to offer a completely unique range of exciting drumming and percussion team building sessions anything from half an hour ice-breakers to start to a full day of music making where your team will produce their own CD!

Summary

Total Motivation has run an extremely wide range of Team Development & Challenge, Away Day and Corporate Entertainment programmes that are designed to cater for every need. All team development challenges and events run over the past 20 years have been designed to improve working relationships in a fun and informal way but the messages and outcomes have always had significant impact on effectiveness back at the workplace. When the day or session is finished and teams stop to reflect, there is always the realisation that solutions most often come from within and there are people within their organisation who have qualities that can emerge in the right team environment. Costs

With the wide variety of options available it is difficult to standardise a cost for your event/programme. We will give you an accurate figure once we know exactly what you want. However, to assist you, days organised for previous clients range from around £300 to £2000 for a day’s activities for group sizes of between 5 and 50 participants.
