Quality Manufacturing Rational kitchens are manufactured with only quality materials and features. Our cabinet carcasses and shelves are constructed from 19mm thick 3-layer quality particle board and manufactured with a high quality direct laminate coating giving it a highly resistant and easy care finish. The carcase is assembled at the factory using special joining technology giving it highly rigid construction. The adjustable shelves are secured with an anti-tilt safety device offering high stability. Our clip metal hinges are extremely durable and have great stability. This innovative style of hinge allows quick door removal and insertion. Easy cleaning of carcase edges is possible. Includes a soft motion closing system. The front door finish comes in a variety of substrates including;

Hardwood – 100% genuine, naturally grown wood including oak and ash. Veneer – A thin layer of fine quality wood glued and pressed to the surface of high quality substrate. Soft lacquers – The soft lacquer produced by rational is a water based paint which is extremely eco-friendly and solvent free. 6 Layers of paint are applied and a special process gives it an even soft textured surface. High gloss lacquer – High gloss lacquer finishes consist of a coloured base paint and hardener. The high gloss lacquer is applied in multiple coats. After drying, the lacquer is ground matt before been polished to a high gloss. Glass – Rational produce glass doors and panels all of which are subject to special breakage tests which allow use in even our base units.

Thanks to TopTec’s unique non-stick properties any kind of soiling is easy to remove. Even water-proof pens, wax crayons, finger paints, grease, oil, spray paint or felt-tip pens do not pose a problem here because they lie loose on the surface, like a droplet of water on a lotus leaf. TopTec is colourless and neutral on wood, laminate and lacquered surfaces. At the same time TopTec is scratch-resistant and abrasion-proof. In this way TopTec ensures that your rational kitchen will always retain its value. Rigorously tested - TopTec Our tests demonstrate the endurance of TopTec’s roll-off effect. While liquids usually run on surfaces, on a TopTec treated surface they simply roll off just like on a lotus leaf. It’s the same with dirt particles which cannot adhere to the non-stick sealing.

We have brought TopTec into contact with various substances and left them to take effect over 16 hours. The result: none of the substances left any trace! The following substances were tested: acetone, aqueous ammonia, benzine, beer, butter, cola, disinfectant, acetic acid, ethanol, ethylbutylacetate, sodium chloride, evaporated milk, lipstick, natrium carbonate, olive oil, powdered coffee, detergent solution, red and white wine, blackcurrant juice, black tea, water, citric acid and onions.
