Our Church Family Please remember our shut-ins in your prayers: Bertha D., Janet K., Margaret K., Diny R., Grace R. and Alice S. If you have a need, please contact a Pastoral Care Worker or your Elder, Deacon, or Pastor Les. We are here to serve you in the name of Jesus Christ. If someone you love is hospitalized and you want your Pastor, Elder, Deacon and church family to know about it, please let the church office know. Because of privacy laws, we are not informed by hospitals. Bert H. has had another good week and anticipated having his sixth of eight treatments this past Friday. We pray that God continues to give him strength, and that the treatments will be helpful. John L. has had several tests this past week, and is waiting for the reports in order to make decisions. We pray that God will give good reports, and wisdom to those involved in making decisions. We pray for David S.’s family and Teresa R.'s family as their mother, Alice S., moved into Royal Terrace in Palmerston this past Friday, and their father, Frank S., has an appointment with his Oncologist on Monday. We pray that God gives David’s and Teresa’s family His peace in the midst of all these changes and uncertainty. Dicky W. was able to return home from the hospital this past week, though she is still very weak. We thank God for healing He has given, and pray for renewed strength. We extend our sympathy to Nanda Z. and her family on the passing of her father, Arie N. We thank God for His precious promises and His gracious presence. Happy Birthday: Diane V. on January 31 and Jane H. on February 1. May the Lord bless you both with many more happy, healthy years! News from North America GROUNDWORK - Jewish Sheep or Other Sheep? So who did Jesus come to save? In Matthew 15:24 he seems to suggest he came only for the Jews, but in John 10:16 he talks about having sheep not of this fold. On this week’s Groundwork program we discuss these seemingly contradictory texts and how we understand them in the greater context of scripture. Join the conversation – find a local radio station or listen online at www.GroundworkOnline.com. KIDS CORNER - Lonesome Chuckwalla: Scooter’s hero is airplane ace Lonesome Chuckwalla. But what happens when his hero crash lands into Grandpa Anole’s barn? Find out at www.kidscorner.net. Then contact Kids Corner at P.O.
