Troy Schools Lunch Buddies Needed

Troy schools provide a program called “Lunch Buddies” and they need a few more “Buddies!” Students are paired with the same gender adult to eat lunch once a month. Adult Lunch Buddies serve as someone to support the students in academics, career exploration, and basic social interactions. Typically students in ‘The Future Begins Today’ program are the first students paired for Lunch Buddies, but students who are not in TFBT, who may need extra adult support are also paired. Most of the time students who are Lunch Buddies are in grades 4-12. If you are interested in being a “Lunch Buddie” email the church with your contact info and we will pass that info on and a contact person will be in touch with you. Email: [email protected] or call 335-2826.

_________________________________________________________________________ Choral Anthem: Still, Still, Still English tex: JACK SCHRADER Austrian Carol

Arranged by JACK SCHRADER

Still, still, still, He sleeps this night so chill: His mother’s arms the Christ-Child holding, Safe and warm with love enfolding. Still, still, still, To do the Father’s will. Sleep, sleep, sleep, Midst the oxen and the sheep. The angels come down to tell his story, Shepherds come to see his glory.

Sleep, sleep, sleep, O holy Christ –Child sleep. Still, still, still, To do the Father’s will. To Thee, Great God, our voice we raise, In worship and wonder sing Thy praise! Still, still, still, To do the Father’s will.

The altar flowers are presented to the Glory of God, by Jack and Penny Hoekstra in celebration of their 9thWedding Anniversary.

Kid’s Rock starts Wednesdays Jan 22-Mar 12  Dinner served @ 5pm, First Place  ROCK @ 6-7pm, 3rd floor main church building.
