Southern Connecticut Conference 2011 Football All-Conference Bios DIVISION I OFFENSE Nick Vitale, WR, Hand Senior, 5-9, 175 One of – if not the best – receiver in the state, Nick Vitale earned every top HS accolade – New Haven Register First Team All-Area and All-State, Coaches Association AllState and Walter Camp All-Connecticut Team. He caught 90 passes for 1,800 yards and 18 touchdowns this fall leading the Tigers to a perfect 13-0 mark and three dominating performances on their way to the Class L state title. He is also one of three finalists for the Walter Camp State Player of the Year award. Nick has given a verbal commitment to attend Stony Brook University in the fall. Ryan Jacobucci, WR, Xavier Senior, 5-10, 175 A two-way starter for the Class LL state champion Falcons, Ryan had 32 receptions for 818 yards and nine touchdowns. Also a standout defensive back, he had seven interceptions and 15 pass breakups and was named the Hartford Courant‟s Defensive Player of the Year in addition to being the named the Coaches and Walter Camp AllConnecticut Team. Ryan is being recruited by several schools, including Albany, New Haven, Assumption, New Hampshire and Sacred Heart. Tahir Manning, WR, West Haven Senior, WR, 6-0, 166 One of the top receivers in the SCC, Tahir had a great season as he set schools records for receptions (with 45), receiving yards (744) and touchdown catches (13) for the 7-3 Blue Devils. A member of the All-Levi Jackson team, Tahir also earned New Haven Register Second Team All-Area honors. He is also an excellent track performer in the spring and all three jumping events. Tahir is getting interest from several colleges, including Southern Connecticut and University of New Haven. Ryan Murphy, TE, Xavier Senior, 6-3, 210 Ryan was a three-year starter at tight end for the two-time defending Class LL champion Falcons. He caught 31 passes for 514 yards and five touchdowns. As a defensive back, he had 61 tackles, two quarterback sacks and one interception. He too

has a room full of accolades – Coaches Association and Walter Camp All-Connecticut Teams and a New Haven Register Third Team All-State selection. Ryan is President of the Xavier Student Activities Council and would like to continue his football career in college with Albany, Stonehill, URI, Fordham, Merrimack, UMASS and Assumption all showing interest. Serge Jean-Baptiste, OL, Fairfield Prep Senior, 6-3, 275 Serge was the Jesuits‟ featured blocker in their run-oriented offense that produced more than 210 yards per game. A Coaches Class LL All-State selection, Serge was named a Second Team All-Star by the Hearst Community Newspapers. He‟s active in many school and community activities, and is considering several colleges to play football, including Southern Connecticut, Endicott, New Haven, Stonehill and Catholic University. Austin Wezenski, OL, Xavier Senior, 6-2, 280 Austin repeats as an All-SCC honoree and had another tremendous season as a twoway starter for the state‟s number-one ranked team. He recorded 43 pancake blocks at right tackle and paved holes for a rushing attack that gained 3,771 yards this season. As a nose guard, he had 45 tackles and three quarterback sacks. Austin‟s post-season accolades are impressive – Coaches Association All-State, Walter Camp AllConnecticut Team and New Haven Register and Hartford Courant All-State. Central Connecticut, Sacred Heart and Albany are some of the schools interested in Austin. Joe Ortoli, OL, Shelton Senior, 6-2, 220 Joe‟s been a two-year starter on the offensive line and at linebacker. He served as captain of the Gaels in 2011 and registered 68 tackles, two quarterback sacks and one fumble recovery. He will also captain the Shelton lacrosse team this spring. A CAPT Scholar in the classroom, Joe will attend Norwich University and play football for the Cadets. Dennis Flanagan, OL, Amity Junior, 6-2, 230 Dennis was a two-way starter on the line for the Spartans. On offense, he helped a rushing attack average more than six yards a carry. Defensively, he recorded 44 tackles, three quarterback sacks and one interception. Dennis is also a member of the Amity outdoor track & field squad. Just a junior, Dennis hopes to play college football and major in criminology.

Tyler Vallie, QB, Amity Senior, 5-10, 190 The leader of the Spartans‟ offense, Tyler accounted for 25 touchdowns this fall – 12 passing and 13 via the run. He passed for 1,240 yards, while rushing for 920 more and earned Honorable Mention All-Star honors from the Hearst Connecticut Newspapers. Tyler‟s a two-sport captain – and will captain the Amity lacrosse team this coming spring. Some of the colleges he‟s interested include Wesleyan, Central Connecticut, Marist and Endicott. Pat D’Amato, QB, Xavier Senior, 6-3, 200 Pat was a two-year starter for the back-to-back top-ranked team in the state of Connecticut. This season, Pat directed the highest-scoring team in SCC history by completed 61 percent of his passes for 1,116 yards and 15 touchdowns, while rushing for 628 yards and 13 more touchdowns. A Coaches Class LL and Hartford Courant AllState honoree, Pat was a New Haven Register Second Team All-Area pick. Pat is also a starter on the Xavier basketball team. He has been offered a football scholarship by Stony Brook University. Michael John Ecke, QB, Cheshire Senior, 6-0, 170 Michael John had a solid year as the Rams‟ signal caller – passing for 1,378 yards and 14 touchdowns while rushing for 831 and scoring 14 touchdowns which earned him New Haven Register Honorable Mention All-State recognition. He finished his career in fine style earning MVP honors in the Rams‟ Turkey Day win over Southington – in that game, he accounted for five touchdowns in a 41-30 victory. Some of the schools he‟s interested in are Utica, Western New England and Norwich. Ervin Philips, RB, West Haven Sophomore, 5-10, 168 Ervin follows in the footsteps of his brother Kevin as an All-SCC running back. In just 6 and ½ games, he rushed for 950 yards and 14 touchdowns – averaging 8.6 yards a carry. An All-Levi Jackson selection, Ervin earned Coaches Class LL All-State honors and was a New Haven Register Second Team All-Area pick. Ervin is already attracting the attention of colleges so look for big things from him in the future. Javon Grey, RB, Notre Dame Senior, 6-0, 180

Javon was one of the top running backs in the SCC as evidenced by his 1,076 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns. Defensively, he totaled 63 tackles from his linebacker spot. An honor roll student, Javon also plays basketball for the Green Knights. Among the plethora of interested schools include Pace, Delaware State, Monmouth, Georgetown and Southern Connecticut. Mike Mastroianni, RB, Xavier Senior, 5-9, 175 Mike has been a standout runner for the top-ranked and undefeated Falcons the last two years. In 2011, Mike continued where he left off by rushing for 1,116 yards and 22 touchdowns. One of the team‟s captains, Mike earned a multitude of statewide honors – Walter Camp and Coaches Association All-Connecticut Teams; New Haven Register First Team All-Area and All-State and Hartford Courant All-State. He was the WELI 960 AM Player of the Year. Stonehill, Trinity, Endicott, Muhlenberg and Springfield are schools that have expressed interest in Mike for next fall. Frank Camerino, RB, Shelton Senior, 6-0, 180 Frank served as captain of the Gaels this fall, leading them to an impressive 8-2 final record. He led the team in rushing with 1,102 yards and eight touchdowns. He also saw time at quarterback and threw for 292 yards and three scores. Frank also plays lacrosse for the Gaels. He is looking to further his football career in college with Endicott, Western New England and Salve Regina among his interests.

DIVISION I DEFENSE Joe Demichele, DT, Hand Senior, 6-1, 290 One of the top two-sport athletes in the SCC, Joe served as captain of the Class L state champions and was a dominating force on the line for the Tigers‟ defense, and also at fullback for short-yardage situations. He also recorded 3 rushing touchdowns. For his efforts, Joe earned a litany of accolades – Coaches Association and Walter Camp AllConnecticut Team along with New Haven First Team All-Area and All-State. Joe‟s also a two-time All-American wrestler in the heavyweight class. Army, Central Connecticut and URI are some of the interested colleges. Ludovic Richardson, DT, Notre Dame Senior, 6-2, 275

A standout perfomer on the Class L state quarterfinalist Green Knights‟ offensive and defensive lines, Ludovic had 77 tackles and six quarterback sacks despite drawing double teams all season. Duly honored for his efforts – Ludovic was a New Haven Register and Coaches Association All-State selection as well as a Walter Camp AllConnecticut Team honoree. He also serves as captain of the track team and is a member of the National Honor Society – that‟s why Yale, Brown, Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth and Maine are among his interested suitors. Sean Marinan, DL, Xavier Senior, 6-0, 252 Sean‟s back at the All-SCC banquet and finished up a pretty good football career as a two-way starter at left guard and defensive end. Offensively, he led the offensive line with 48 pancake blocks, while recording 67 tackles, 23 for losses, and three quarterback sacks for a defense that allowed under 8 points a game. Sean has been well acknowledged for his 2011 season – he is a Coaches and Walter Camp All-Connecticut team member as a well as New Haven Register and Hartford Courant All-Stater. He is a two-sport captain; he‟s also an All-State wrestler. Yale, Brown, Princeton, UPENN, Brown, Amherst and Wesleyan are some of the fine schools interested in Sean for next fall. Tom Spencer, DL, West Haven Senior, 6-1, 256 A three-year starter who played both ways, Tom has a consistent and productive season for the 7-3 Blue Devils. He served as tri-captain and was named to the All-Levi Jackson Team and earned New Haven Register Second Team All-Area honors. He also plays baseball in the spring. He is being courted by several Division III schools, including Western Connecticut, Nichols, Mount Ida and Western New England. Josh Dellacruz, DT, Wilbur Cross Senior, 6-2, 260 Josh was standout on the defensive line for the Governors. He led the team in tackles with 84 and ranks third in school history for total tackles. He is a two-time All Levi Jackson team honoree and also earned New Haven Register Third Team All-Area accolades. Josh intends to play football in college and is considering some prep schools and junior colleges for the fall. Billy Weyrauch, LB, Cheshire Senior, 5-10, 210 The heart and soul of the Rams‟ defense, Billy recorded a team-high 103 tackles and two quarterback sacks. On offense, he scored three touchdowns while rushing for 161

yards. A Coaches Association Class LL All-State honoree, Billy also earned Hartford Courant All-State recognition. Stonehill and Springfield are two of Billy‟s potential collegiate destinations. Robert Rose, LB, Shelton Senior, 6-2, 225 A two-way starter at linebacker and on the offensive line, Robert had a very nice 2011 for the 8-2 Gaels. The leader of the Shelton defensive unit, Robert led the squad with 88 tackles in 2011 which earned him Coaches Class LL All-State honors as well as First Team All-Star accolades from the Heart Connecticut Newspaper group. Robert is getting interest from several New England colleges including Southern Connecticut, Endicott and Plymouth State. Anthony Masucci, DB, Notre Dame Senior, 5-10, 190 Anthony served as captain of the Green Knights and played both ways. He scored two touchdowns from his fullback position, and made 90 tackles and one interception – which he ran back for a score – from his strong safety spot. Anthony was an All-Levi Jackson honoree and is also an Honor Society member. UPenn, Fordham, Stonehill, UConn and Dartmouth are among his collegiate choices. Jovan Santos-Knox, LB, Xavier Senior, 6-3, 235 A two-year starter for the Class LL state champion and undefeated Falcons, Jovan had 64 tackles, including 19 for losses, seven quarterback sacks and one interception in 2011 which earned him Coaches Class LL, New Haven Register and Hartford Courant All-State honors. Offensively, he had six touchdown receptions. He is also an All-SCC basketball player. Jovan is being recruited by several colleges, including UMASS and Stony Brook. Matt Walsh, LB, Hand Junior, 6-1, 225 Just a junior, Matt had a banner year leading the Tigers to the SCC Division I East and Class L titles. He recorded 170 tackles and 2 quarterback sacks from his linebacker spot, and scored eight rushing touchdowns as the team‟s fullback. A Coaches Association Class L All-State selection, he also earned New Haven Register First Team All-Area and Second Team All-State honors. Look for continued success in the 2012 season from Matt Walsh.

Vance Giarratana, DB, Hand Senior, 6-2, 200 Vance was a key part of the Tigers‟ defensive unit – one that allowed just under 10 points game during its outstanding 13-0 undefeated, Class L state-title season. Vance recorded 90 tackles, forced three fumbles, recovered two and had one interception and earned New Haven Register First Team All-Area and All-State recognition. Trinity, Tufts, Union and Amherst are among Vance‟s collegiate options. Tim Dube, DB, Hamden Senior, 5-10, 190 Tim did double duty as a quarterback and strong safety for the Green Dragons. Defensively, he recorded 44 solo tackles, three interceptions and 3 forced fumbles. On the offensive side of the ball, he passed for over 2,000 yards of total offense and 20 touchdowns. Tim was a Coaches Class LL All-State pick and earned New Haven Register Second Team All-Area honors. Tim is looking to futher his football career and looking at Southern Connecticut and University of New Haven. Brandon Martin, DB, Notre Dame Senior, 5-11, 180 Brandon was of the top players for the 8-3 Green Knights, who made their second Class L state playoff berth in the last three seasons. From his cornerback position, Brandon totaled 71 tackles and one interception. He also six receptions on offense. He also plays basketball. Among his collegiate choices include Southern Connecticut, University of New Haven, Endicott and Western New England. Xavier Frey, P, Fairfield Prep Senior, 6-4, 225 Xavier averaged 37 yards per punt and had great hang and accuracy which helped him place 12 punts inside opponents‟ 20-yard lines. Also a starter at tight end, he was solid blocker and caught 8 passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns. He even played defensive tackle and had two quarterback sacks and one forced fumble. Xavier also plays varsity basketball and active in many community volunteer activities. He is considering Tufts, Ithaca, St. Lawrence, Union and Trinity for his collegiate destination.

DIVISION II OFFENSE Connor Falaguerra, WR, Jonathan Law Senior, 6-0, 180

Connor was a two-way standout for the Lawmen this fall. He hauled in 44 receptions for 732 yards and four touchdowns on his way to earning Coaches Class M All-State and New Haven Register Third Team All-Area accolades. He added two interceptions on defense; and also scored via kickoff return and fumble recovery. Connor also runs indoor track and plays baseball. He‟s is interested in a variety of schools, including Central Connecticut, Sacred Heart, Bryant, Western Connecticut and Western New England. Rennick Bryan, OL, Hillhouse Senior, 6-3, 325 Rennick was the anchor of the Academics‟ offensive line – one that opened holes for a rushing attack that averaged 360 yards a game this season; and an offense that averaged more than 35 points a game. Rennick earned a slew of postseason recognition, including Coaches Association and New Haven Register All-State honors and was named to the Walter Camp All-Connecticut Team. Rennick will attend the University of Connecticut on a football scholarship. Sean Merrill, OL, Sheehan Senior, 6-4, 265 One of the top two-way linemen in the conference, Sean had a fine season for the 5-5 Titans. His work paved the way for a rushing attack for 2,000 yards and 26 touchdowns. He had 35 pancake blocks and on defense, he totaled 46 tackles, 2 forced fumbles and one interception. He earned Coaches M All-State honors and was a New Haven Register Third Team All-Area selection. He‟s just as junior, but Sean is already attracting interest from several FBS and FCS schools.

Derrin Gelston, OT, Guilford Senior, 6-5, 235 Derrin was a standout on the interior for the Indians starting both ways. From his defensive end spot, Derrin posted 29 tackles and one pass deflection. More impressively, Derrin has aspirations to serve his country. He is an operations officer for Navy Junior ROTC and has received the Sons of the American Revolution Outstanding Citizenship Award. Having already received Academy nominations from Senators

Lieberman and Blumenthal, Derrin hopes to attend West Point or the Air Force Academy. Jacob Mikos, OL, North Haven Senior, 6-3, 250 A three-year starter, Jacob was a key part of the North Haven‟s success in 2011 which resulted in a Class L state playoff berth. Offensively, Jacob paved holes for the Indians‟ vaunted single-wing offensive attack that resulted in more than 3,500 yards. Defensively, Jacob totaled 30 tackles and was named to the All-Levi Jackson team as well as New Haven Register Second Team All-Area recognition. Jacob is also captain of the North Haven basketball and lacrosse teams. Stonehill, Western New England, Union and Merrimack are among his collegiate choices. Mike McInnis, OL, North Haven Senior, 6-0, 210 When your team‟s rushes for more than 3,500 yards, you need quality offensive lineman and North Haven‟s certainly got „em. A two-year starter, Mike was a big part of the offensive interior for the Division II East champions and who pushed around thenundefeated Masuk in the Class L quarterfinals. Framingham State, Husson and Springfield are among Mike‟s collegiate choices.

Khamil Rangolam, OL, Hillhouse Senior, 6-4, 300 The second-half of the Academics‟ All-SCC offensive interior, Khamil is a repeat AllSCC honoree. He was a three-year starter at right tackle. Khamil‟s play was a key reason the Academics average more than 46 points a game in their seven victories this season. Among his college choices include Central Connecticut, Southern Connecticut, New Haven and Pace. Billy Gannon, QB, Sheehan Senior, 5-9, 170

One of the most versatile quarterbacks in the SCC, Billy was the one of only 2 quarterbacks in the entire state to rush and pass for more than 1,000 yards. He accounted for 2,428 yards of total offense and 24 touchdowns. He posted 1,123 yards and 16 touchdowns, while passing for 1,305 and another seven scores. He even caught a touchdown pass. Billy is attracting much interest from Division III schools like Endicott, Springfield, Western New England and Western Connecticut. Joe Schwab, QB, North Haven Senior, 6-1, 185 Joe had a banner season guiding the Indians‟ offense – one that accounted for almost 4,000 total yards. Joe threw seven touchdown passes and rushed for just over 1,000 and 15 more touchdowns as the Indians finished 9-1 in the regular-season. Joe also made three interceptions and handled the team‟s punting chores. He was a New Haven Register First Team All-Area pick and was named to the All-Levi Jackson team. Union, Bryant and American University are along his college choices.

Harold Cooper, RB, Hillhouse Sophomore, 5-7, 180 On the top running backs in the state, Harold returns to the All-SCC team after a stellar fall. Harold rushed for 1,865 yards in his 10 games – averaging 13.7 yards per carry. He scored 26 touchdowns on the season. He also earned a slew of postseason accolades - All-Levi Jackson team, Coaches Class M All-State and New Haven Register All-Area First Team. He‟s also an All-State sprinter for the Academics‟ outdoor track team. Look for even bigger things from Harold over the next two seasons. Matt Hoey, RB, Guilford Senior, 5-7, 170

A repeat All-SCC honoree, Matt had another impressive offensive season. He rushed for 904 yards and 13 touchdowns, while adding 200 more yards receiving and two additional scores. He earned Third Team All-Area honors from the New Haven Register. Matt is interested in continuing his football career with several Division III schools in the mix. Joe DeSandre, RB, Lyman Hall Senior, 5-10, 180 A three-time All-SCC honoree, Joe DeSandre finished his scholastic career in grand style – a Thanksgiving win over rival Sheehan and as the Trojans‟ career rushing leader. This season, he rushed for 1,089 yards and 16 touchdowns, and caught 40 passes for 614 yards and seven more scores. On defense, he made 56 tackles and two interceptions. He earned New Haven Register Third Team All-Area honors. He also plays basketball and is interested in a few colleges, including Springfield, Coastal Carolina, Central Connecticut, Southern Connecticut and Western New England. Brodie Corless, PK, Sheehan Senior, 5-11, 185 Brodie was one of the top kickers in the state and earned Coaches Class M All-State honors and New Haven Register Second Team All-Area honors. He converted five field goals and 32 PAT kicks this season. He had a season-long 45-yard field goal against Shelton. He also played wide receiver and outside linebacker. He posted 103 tackles and five sacks and three forced fumbles. Brodie‟s an Honor Student and wants to study biology. Among his interested college suitors include Trinity, St. Lawrence, St. John Fisher and Springfield.

DIVISION II DEFENSE Andrew Savenelli, OL, North Haven Senior, 6-1, 260 Andrew returns to the SCC All-Conference banquet in 2011 after another banner season playing both ways for the Class L quarterfinalists. A Coaches Class M All-State selection, Andrew was a New Haven First Team All-Area honoree. As a nose guard, he totaled 60 tackles and one quarterback sacks. Merrimack, Stonehill and Sacred Heart are among the colleges interested in Andrew. Mark Williams, DT, Branford Senior, 6-0, 270 Mark was a two-way starter in the trenches for the Hornets and was characterized by his coach as “the hardest working player on the team.” From his defensive tackle

position, Mark posted 45 tackles and three quarterback sacks. Mark is still considering his post-high school options. Conor Riordan, DE, Lyman Hall Senior, 6-5, 210 A repeat All-SCC honoree, Conor had another quality season for the Trojans. From his defensive end position, he totaled 70 tackles, including four quarterback sacks and two fumble recoveries as the Trojans finished up the season with an exciting Thanksgiving win over rival Sheehan. Among some of his collegiate choices include UCONN, URI, University of New Hampshire, UPENN and Princeton. Derrick Gilliam, DE, Hillhouse Junior, 5-7, 165 Derrick was a standout on defense for the Academics, leading the squad with 7.5 quarterback sacks and 87 tackles. Among his 87 tackles – Derrick made 14 for losses for the Division II West champions who finished 7-3 and narrowly missed out on a Class M playoff berth. He‟s only a junior, so look for even bigger things from Derrick next fall. Mark Zurlis, LB, North Haven Senior, 5-11, 215 One of the top linebackers in the SCC and state, Mark is a two-time All-SCC honoree and had an impressive season leading the Indians to a Division II East title and CIAC Class L state playoff berth. Mark totaled 122 tackles, 3 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles and earned First Team All-State honors from the Coaches Association, New Haven Register and Walter Camp Foundation. Mark is interested in attending Springfield, University of New Haven and Southern Connecticut. Dave Yerxa, LB, Foran Senior, 6-0, 205 Dave is one-half of a talented linebacker duo from Foran to earn All-SCC honors. Dave served as captain of the Lions‟ and earned Coaches Association All-State honors after amassing 142 tackles, three quarterback sacks and one interception. As a fullback, he rushed for 745 yards and 10 touchdowns. Among his collegiate options include Villanova, Sacred Heart and Stonehill. Anthony Georgetti, LB, Foran Senior, 5-10, 191 Anthony served as captain of the Lions and was a standout on defense, totaling 62 tackles and eight quarterback sacks. He finished his scholastic career in grand style earning “Best Individual Effort” honors in the Lions‟ Thanksgiving victory over rival

Jonathan Law. Anthony‟s also a talented young man off the field – he‟s an Eagle Scout with a Bronze, Gold and Silver Palms. Mass. Maritime, Western New England, Salve Regina and Curry are among his collegiate options. Joe Costanzo, LB, East Haven Senior, 6-0, 230 A three-year starter, Joe repeats as an All-SCC linebacker after another quality season for the Yellowjackets. For the year, he totaled 75 tackles, three quarterback sacks and one fumble recovery. A two-year captain and recipient of the team‟s Coaches Award, Joe is interested in continuing his football career in college and Salve Regina and Endicott are among his options. Andre Anderson, DB, Hillhouse Junior, 5-7, 170 A triple-threat for the Academics, Andre led the team with three interceptions, had five kickoff returns for touchdowns and rushed for 890 yards and 11 touchdowns – averaging 16.2 yards per carry. A Coaches Class M All-State honoree, Andre‟s just a junior. He is captaining Hillhouse‟s basketball team this winter and has plans to play either sport in college. A.J. Pascuzzo, DB, Sheehan Senior, 5-9, 165 A.J. never came off the field this year for the Titans – seeing time at free safety, running back, wide receiver, kick and punt returner and all special teams. He accumulated 1,207 all-purpose yards and scored eight touchdowns. On defense, he posted 97 tackles, 2 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions. A.J. was a two-year football captain, and is currently serving as captain of the Titans‟ basketball team. He is being recruited by several Division III schools, including Endicott, Western New England, Westfield State and Bridgewater State. Curtis Sutherland, DB, Branford Junior, 5-9, 155 A two-way starter for the Hornets, Curtis did a little of everything this fall. On defense, he had 87 tackles and two interceptions and broke up eight passes. Offensively, he had 535 yards of total offense and scored five touchdowns. He also returned kickoffs. Just a junior so look for big things from Curtis next fall as he continues toward his goal of playing football at the collegiate level. Niko Fiorillo, DB, East Haven

Senior, 5-10, 195 A two-way, three-year starter for the Yellowjackets, Niko was a standout at free safety – making 58 tackles and a team-best six interceptions, including two he ran back for touchdowns. Also the team‟s quarterback, he had more than 1,000 yards of total offense. A two-year team captain, Niko would like to play football in college and Endicott is currently his top choice. Matt Aspinwall, P, Foran Senior, 5-11, 160 An all-around standout for the Lions, Matt averaged 43 yards per punt this season and earned Coaches Class M All-State honors. In addition to his punting, he served as the team‟s placekicker and quarterback and accounted for 28 touchdowns – passing for 1,658 yards and 22 scores and rushing for 534 yards and 6 touchdowns. Matt will serve as baseball captain this spring. He is interested in attending UCONN in the fall.
