Scholarships and Grants List compiled for Bay of Plenty Polytechnic students
Scholarships are one way of helping you meet fees, course-related costs and living expenses while you study. Exploring alternative financial options may help alleviate some of the burdens that can arise throughout study. There is often a misconception that scholarships are only available to the “smartest” and “most talented”, but in some cases a scholarship can be gained simply by demonstrating a passionate and motivated attitude towards study and a determination to succeed. The criteria for scholarships and grants vary: IT’S WORTHWHILE CHECKING WHAT’S OUT THERE! Many Bay of Plenty Polytechnic students have gained EXTRA FUNDS to help with all sorts of needs that arise whilst studying. • This booklet contains information on funding that could be relevant to BOP Polytechnic students for full-time programmes. Some scholarships are offered by BOP Polytechnic while others are offered by community organisations or businesses or national government bodies. • To request an application form for the following scholarships, contact the organisation specified in the contact details section either by post, email or phone. Please note that the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic Awards are open to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only.
