Safari program: Day 1: (16.8.2015) Departure Day 2: (17.8.2015) Arrival at the international airport of Nairobi. On arrival, the Jeep is ready for the drive towards Meru National Park. In Thika we are about 6 clock take breakfast in the Hotel Blue Post and then go to the Chania waterfalls they are right at the hotel. Here then we have two hours time to taste the first camera settings. Afterwards drive to Meru National Park and near the city Meru we cross the equator. At noon we reach the Ikweta camp. A fresh shower after the long journey will be good for all. Lunch and a break before heading to meet with Andrew and the meeting for the first game drive in the park. This park was made famous by the book and the movie "The lioness Elsa" or "Born Free" by Joy Adamson. The Meru Park is less visited by tourists, which has the advantage that we almost always alone and enjoy the animals and nature undisturbed. The park is very rich in wildlife and offers the "Big Five" and many other rare animals such as for example the Reticulated Giraffe, Kudu Large or Grevy Zebra. Day 3: (18.8.2015) game drives in Meru National Park to the wishes of the group. Day 4: (19.8.2015) At sunrise game drive and maybe we will see a big cat hunting. After a great breakfast we check out; it goes on a trip of about 2 - 3 hours to Samburu National Reserve. On the way there we drive through the town of Isiolo and there may be a short stop to be made at the market. It should be noted that one can not simply photograph people. This can lead to big trouble, but only time to experience the colorful bustle is impressive. Sentrim camp where we already expected and after lunch then you go on a long game drive through the park. In the thorn savannah we see the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy Zebras or Giraffes Gazelles (Gerenuk), which are famous only in the two northern parks, as it did in Meru Park. Day 6: (21.8.2015) Again, it's early breakfast and off we go to Lake Nakuru. In Nyahururu we take a break at the famous Thomson Falls 75 m finally crash down into the depths. Good opportunity for long-term exposure ... We will arrive at Lake Nakuru Lodge for lunch. Lake Nakuru National Park is fenced because of the great particularity the White Rhino and the Black Rhino who are here, thus better protected. Day 8: (23.8.2015) Today is again breakfasted early and then you go on a longer trip to the famous Maasai Mara, where we arrive at noon. In August, we are in the midst of the great migration (wildebeest migration) and this sensational hike with over 1 million. Wildebeest and zebras and antelopes. Worldwide a unique spectacle. Animals far as the eye !!! Spectacular are the wildebeest river crossings when hundreds or sometimes thousands of wildebeest and zebras jump into the water and already there waiting crocodiles on their meal! Bush breakfast and we get back to camp for lunch, or dinner in the bush - what should we do when we are on a game drive to the wildebeest crossings or special places for the big cats. This we can decide on the spot in the group. The driver will also help with advice and to organize the best. We can also attend a morning or afternoon, on a hike, make a visit to a Maasai village. There we will find a variety of photo opportunities. Day 11: (26.8.2015) Early breakfast and check out. Then it goes on a game drive to the exit of the Maasai Mara. Now the time in the Bush is over and it goes to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. In between there is a stop for lunch in the town of Narok. Dinner and overnight at Wildebeest Camp.
