OVERALL CONCLUSIONS BELGIUM 2011 • 70.000 Belgians cruised in 2011. • Despite the political and economical situation of our country, country we are pleased to announce a year of growth with an increase close to 8%. • Much higher growth coefficient than land based vacations (8% vs 0,5%). • With almost 75% market share, European itineraries are still #1 for Belgians with Southern European (56,5%) Belgians, (56 5%) itineraries being the absolute favorite. • 7-8 nights cruises gain in importance (66% market share), while short (-11%) and longer (-21%) itineraries experience a significant drop.
