“We celebrated the long-awaited Dino Park Grand Opening with a fun event that included free Sonic hotdogs and grilled cheese sandwiches, hot chocolate, cookies and best of all - a Dino Egg Hunt. Trophy Club Families was instrumental in making this a fun event for the kids by providing the Dino Eggs. As part of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) Summer League Swim Team, the Tritons compete at four local events, as well as regional and state competitions. Fee includes a team shirt and professional coaching. Tryouts required for swimmers 8 years old and under. Please check with the swim coach to confirm practice and meet times. Swim Lesson Levels and Descriptions LEVEL 1 - Preschool

LEVEL 4 - Intermediate

Preschool children will work on the basic fundamentals of swimming such as blowing bubbles, front and back floats, kicking, arm movements, and basic pool safety.

This class is for children who have successfully completed the Advanced Beginner level. In this level children will continue to work towards mastering the front crawl, breaststroke, and backstroke while being introduced to the dolphin kick and treading water. To complete this level the student must swim 50 yards of front crawl with rhythmic breathing, 50 yards of breaststroke, 75 yards of backstroke and elementary backstroke, and 25 yards of dolphin kick.

LEVEL 2 - Beginner This class is for the beginner swimmers and requires no prior experience. Skills taught in this level include front and back floats, front and back glides, elementary backstroke, front crawl, backstroke and pool safety. Some of the requirements to pass this level include 25 yards of front crawl, backstroke and elementary backstroke.

LEVEL 3 - Advanced Beginner This class is designed for children who have successfully completed the Beginner level and will build on the fundamental skills learned in the Beginner classes. Some of the skills that will be worked on are rhythmic breathing with the front crawl, backstroke, and breaststroke. Some of the requirements to pass this level include 25 yards front crawl with rhythmic breathing, 25 yards breaststroke, and 50 yards of backstroke and elementary backstroke.

LEVEL 5 - Advanced This class is designed for the advanced swimmer who has successfully completed the Intermediate level. Students will continue to work on technique and endurance for front crawl, breaststroke, dolphin kick, backstroke, and elementary backstroke. To complete this level the students must swim 100 yards of front crawl with rhythmic breathing, backstroke, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, and 50 yards of dolphin kick.

Summer Camp Campers may register for the entire summer or select weeks. A non-refundable deposit of $25 per week is required for each child to reserve a future spot. Reserving a future spot is optional and the deposit is applied to the enrollment fee for that week. All field trip admission and a t-shirt is included in the weekly enrollment fee. Space is limited to the first 50 campers. Parents may purchase additional Summer Adventure Camp shirts for $10 each. In addition to weekly field trips, campers will go to Harkins Theater every Thursday for a family-friendly movie and a sack lunch at Harmony Park. Daily activities include games, crafts, outdoor play time, and swimming on M/W/F.

Kickball games are held at Independence Park East, 501 Parkview Drive. There are two seasons: Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. The cost is $300 per team. Space is limited due to field availablity.

Bocce Ball games take place at Harmony Park, 699 Indian Creek. There are two seasons: Spring/ Summer and Fall/Winter. The cost is $10 per team for an eight game season.

Time: 9:00 a.m. Cost: Free Join local Master Naturalists for a fun, family friendly hike exploring Trophy Club Park’s flora and fauna. The group will meet at the front gate of Trophy Club Park on the first Saturday of each month. Hikes will begin at 9:00 a.m. Families and small children are welcome!

Time: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Cost: $50 Are you tired of that expensive water bill? Save for a rainy day and learn how to create a rain barrel. In this class you will learn how to divert, save, and use rain water! The program teaches the basics and benefits of rain water harvesting and the effects storm water has on the environment. Participants will learn how to collect and utilize rainwater at home. You will also have the opportunity to construct your very own 55 gallon rain barrel. Space is limited. Time: 10:00 a.m. - noon Cost: $10 Did you know the average U.S. household generates 650 lbs of compostable material each year? Participants will learn how to reduce waste carried to landfills by composting and not throwing “it” away in the trash. Wilderness Survival Skills - April 25

This workshop will build and expand on topics presented in Introduction to Gardening, including garden layout and planning, tool use, seeding, transplanting, irrigation, and bed preparation with a particular focus on soil fertility.

Planning and Designing Your Garden - May 8

Time: 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Cost: $20 resident/$25 non-resident Parents will learn the art of taking frame-worthy photos of their children in this beginner photography class. Participants will come to understand the basics of how a camera works, a few tricks to get off Auto, how to find the best light, the importance of composition and how to capture true emotion without the added “cheese”. The last half of class we will meet your kids at a local park to work on your best shot.

This class is an opportunity for new and experienced gardeners alike to explore garden design for their home and vegetable gardens.

**Cost $45 Bus Departs 8:30 a.m. Bus Returns 3:00 p.m. Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is listed as one of the 10 most beautiful gardens in America and ranked among the most breathtaking gardens in the world. We will have lunch at The Porch after our visit to the garden. The bus will depart from the Trophy Club FUMC parking lot. The fee includes bus transportation and admission; lunch is not included in the cost of the trip.

*DFW Women’s Expo - May 30

**Cost $30 Bus Departs 9:30 a.m. Bus Returns 3:00 p.m. Explore your own personal style, renew your soul and uncover your passions ... while you relax and rejuvenate. Indulge yourself with the very best Dallas/Fort Worth has to offer in shopping, fashion, food, entertainment, cosmetics and travel. Spend a relaxing day being pampered with spa treatments, massages and retail therapy. The bus will depart from the Trophy Club FUMC parking lot. Registration is $30 before May 15 and $35 beginning May 16. The fee includes bus transportation and admission; lunch is available for purchase at the expo.

*Tyler Rose Festival - October 15

**Cost $40 Bus Departs 9:00 a.m. Bus Returns 2:00 p.m. We’re headed to “The Rose Capital of America”! We will spend time walking amongst over 14,000 roses and peruse the craft fair, as well as enjoy lunch at the Potpourri House. Registration is $40 before October 1 and $45 beginning October 2. The fee includes bus transportation and admission; lunch is not included in the cost of the trip.

**Cost $40 Bus Departs 6:00 p.m. No one enjoys waiting in a long line at Interlochen to see the Christmas lights. Get your friends together and join us on the bus for good company and fun conversation!

**Cost $30 Bus Departs 9:00 a.m. Bus Returns 2:00 p.m. Choose from eight themed gaming plazas - Paris, Beijing, Rome, Madrid, London, Vienna, Cairo and New York City - as well as a spacious Poker Room, Bingo Hall and Racers Off-Track Betting Parlor. **Cost $45 Bus Departs 9:00 a.m. Bus Returns 2:00 p.m. Watch billions of dollars being printed from an enclosed walkway, which is suspended above the production floor. Enjoy floors of interactive exhibits and displays showcasing currency history and the intricate art of currency manufacturing. The tour includes a high-definition theater film and the Moneyfactory Gift Shop. We will have lunch at Olive Garden after our tour. The bus will depart from the Trophy Club FUMC parking lot. Registration is $45 before September 11 and $50 beginning September 12. The fee includes bus transportation and admission; lunch is not included in the cost of the trip.
