Dear FHS Boys Hockey Supporter: The 2015-2016 Franklin High School Boys Hockey season is just around the corner and the team is preparing to take a run at a Division I State title. Last year was exciting as the program competed at the Division I level for a second year. The team played a very rigorous schedule facing powerhouse teams such as Malden Catholic and Springfield Cathedral. They finished a very successful season, winning a fifth straight Hockomock League Championship and were invited to play in the elite Super 8 State Tournament. This year, as our players return, they are experienced and charged to take home another Kelley Rex Hockomock League Championship and battle for a D1 South title. The hard work and dedication of the players and coaches are critical factors in the success of our team. However, the generous contributions of our sponsors allow the Boys Hockey Booster Club to provide important financial assistance to the FHS Boys Hockey program. College Scholarships, video broadcasts, tournament fees, team equipment and recognition awards are just some of the ways the Booster Club assists both the Varsity and Jr. Varsity teams. In return, the players are actively involved in several community service activities as a way of giving back to the community. Working with local civic groups, they plant flowers in downtown Franklin in the spring and help decorate Franklin’s Downtown and Town Common for the holiday season. By putting your business in the Sponsor Book, you are not only supporting the FHS Boys Hockey team, you are promoting your business as well. In addition to each sponsor receiving a copy of the Sponsor Book, the annual Sponsor Book is given to all local hockey families and fans, which are strongly encouraged to support our sponsors. Also, these Sponsor Books are handed out to patrons at home games that come from neighboring towns such as Medway, Bellingham, Holliston and Medfield, and at times fill the Franklin Ice Rink to capacity.
