■ SAATS Commerce Listing Manual

SAATS Commerce is the multi-channel listing tool that enables sellers to sell items on eBay, Yafuoku(Yahoo! JAPAN auction), and amazon marketplaces.

This is the listing manual for eBay and by reading this manual, you should be able to list items on eBay by using the SAATS Commerce.

Now, let’s get start.

Please add the below login URL to your bookmark and click the URL.

Once you click the URL, you will be directed to the login page.

Please enter your client’s user ID and Password. Once you enter the login and password, please click “login”.

The above is the account dashboard page where your first page after logging in. Account dashboard tells you the seller’s selling performance such as total sales, top buyer countries, top selling items, top keywords, the best time and day and so on. Copyright 2013 SAATS INC. All Rights Reserved.

When you list new item, click create listing.

Then, you will see the next screen.

You can check the pull down of “site”and you will see that our system will let you list to the following eBay 21 sites.

Even though you can list all of above sites, we recommend you to create listings for ebay.com first. Then, you can always use our “Duplicate” feature to create listing data for other eBay sites.

Now, let’s click “Create new listing”icon.

Then, your will be directed to the Create listing page.

SAATS Commerce’ Create listing page is very simple 1 page lister. All you have to do is the following things.

1. Create title 2. Select category 3. Upload Image 4. Create Item description 5. Set up listing price 6. Set up shipping cost

All you have to fill out would be the above. Everything else will be saved once you create first listings and you don’t have to enter them again unless you want to make changes.

Let’s list “Sony headphone” as an example to list item on eBay by SAATS Commerce.

1. Title The first thing the seller has to do is create a title. On eBay, title is the most important as eBay will search your keywords containing in titles. if you don’t include the relevant keywords for what you are trying to sell, your listing won’t be most likely displayed in search result page.

As for creating an effective title, please refer the following page:

eBay’s title is 80 keywords and you should use this remaining keywords as much as possible. The more keywords you enter, the better exposure you may be able to make your listing.

Let’s make a title for this headphone.

As you can see the above title, all the necessary information is included when a buyer search for the item.

Next is the “Assign SKU(Option)” section. SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit and SAATS Commerce assign the random unique SKU number automatically.

SKU is the internal number ONLY and it is for your own stock controlling purpose. The customer or eBay won’t see this number. You should take advantage of this SKU by assigning the unique easy to identify number. The example of SKU is as shown below.

You can also select UPC(Universal Product Code), JAN(Japanese Article Number), EAN(European Article Number), ISBN(International Standard Book Number), and ASIN(Amazon Standard Identification Number). Copyright 2013 SAATS INC. All Rights Reserved.

Example: 20130215amj8000 It means the purchase date is 2013.2.15 and sourced from Amazon Japan in the amount of 8000 YEN. This gives you an idea some of the important information about your item. The more listings you create, the harder you can find the item. Therefore, it is effective to create your own SKU.

Inventory: This is also an optional to enter, but this is going to be the inventory units you want to add to the system. Again, this is the inventory for your internal information and not related to

The second thing you will have to do is uploading the image you took.

You can click + icon above to start to upload image you have in your PC.

Then, the “Image Selection” section will be appeared on top of the Image Management section. Click the Upload New Images.

Select the image and click “開く(Open)”in your PC.

Then, the image is selected just like above. Keep uploading additional images you may have.

Once you select all images you want to upload, click Upload Files button.

It may take a few seconds to upload.

Once you see “Uploaded Files: 3”, click Go Back To Lister.

Then, you will see the updated three images I just uploaded.

Now, you click each image that has been updated to the selection field.

You will see the green check icons once you click images and these image will be added to the image slots just like below.

3. Category Selection

The next thing you need to do is the category selection. There are three ways of selecting eBay category. 1. Category Selection Box 2. Keyword Search 3. Direct entry of Category ID

1. Select category by Category Selection Box

You basically select the main category to the leaf category by eBay’s category structure selection box. Once you reach to the leaf category, it will display as “Category Selected” and category path is also displayed.

2. Select category by keyword search

This is the most easy and fast way to select category and most accurate. SAATS Commerce has a keyword advice tool that tells Copyright 2013 SAATS INC. All Rights Reserved.

seller which category the customer list the most for the keyword they enter.

For example, let’s type “Sony headphones”

SAATS Commerces tells you which category is best used with actual percentage. This way, seller can identify which category he should use immediately, this feature is very powerful.

Therefore, it is highly recommended to use the keyword advice tool to select the most relevant category.

3. Select category by entering a Category ID directly.

If you know the specific category ID you want to select, you can enter the category ID directly into the Category ID box. Copyright 2013 SAATS INC. All Rights Reserved.

In this example, we will use the category selected by keyword advice tool.

Item Specifics: Once you select the category, our system will communicate with eBay and display the matching Item Specifics for you to either select or enter directly about the product you sell. The more information you enter, the better for Best Match search on eBay. We recommend you to select as much as Item Specifics information as possible.

4. Store category

If the seller subscribe the eBay store, the system will synch the seller’s created store categories and Store logo if there is.

Select a store category of “Consumer Electronics > Headphones > Sony” this time.

6. Item Description

Enter the item description contents for the product you sell. The more descriptive information you enter, the better chance to sell the product.

The following is the example of the item description contents.

As you can see the highlighted section, there are basic edit features just like Microsoft Word. You can change color of texts, fonts, size and more.

7. Payment Information Next is the payment information. You inform any payment information you want to inform to to buyer such as payment method, payment deadline, and so on.

Let’s type like this.

I accept PayPal only and payment has to be made within 3 days. If you have any problem of paying within the deadline, please inform me in advance and I can arrange the additional payment deadline.

8. Shipping Information

Another information you need to add is the shipping information. Enter handling time, shipping service you use, shipping cost, Estimated delivery date, and custom charge information.

The followings are the definitions for some of key terms.

Handling time: The handling time is the number of business days the seller will take to ship the item after receiving your cleared payment.

Shipping service: It is the shipping carrier such as Japan Post, DHL, and FeDex.

Estimated delivery date: The estimated delivery date is based on the seller's handling time, the shipping service selected, and when the seller receives cleared payment. In certain cases, the estimated delivery date will vary. By knowing the estimated delivery date, you can determine how long it will take to receive your item.

Custom Charge Notification: Custom charge is buyer’s responsibility on eBay. However, in order to get protected by eBay for removing a negative feedback in case customer leave seller a negative feedback related to custom charge, eBay will remove the feedback if the seller specify the custom charge notification clearly on item description. Please add the following notification in red font.

10. Item Details Next is the Item Details section.

Format: This is the Listing Type which is either Auction Format or Fixed Price Format. Start Price: This is the starting price for the Auction Format. Buy It Now Price: This is the price you can sell the item immediately. Copyright 2013 SAATS INC. All Rights Reserved.

If you select Auction Format, you must enter the Start Price. Also, you can enter the Buy It Now Price optionally.

If you select Fixed Price Format, you must enter the Buy It Now Price. Start Price is not selectable for Fixed Price format.

SAATS Commerce has Real Time Currency Converter that will update the recent conversion rate in every 4 hours. When you enter the price such as $90, it will display the equivalent value in JPY. In today’s case, JPY is 8,825 yen. This way, the Japanese seller can know how much is the price they set in Japanese yen as well.

Also, you can set up “Best Offer” option. Our system has automatic reject or accept amount setting. As you can see the example above, $80.00 is the Auto reject bids lower. This means if buyers make offer less than $80.00, our system reject their offers automatically. On the other hand, if buyers make offer over $85.00, our system will accept any offer. which is $80.01 to $84.99, seller will make choice whether he or she will reject offer or accept offer.

Reserve Price: This is the hidden minimum bid amount. If I enter $40.00 as reserve price, no buyer can purchase the item unless the bid amount exceeds $40.01. By entering the Reserve Price, seller is protected from selling the item below reserve price. However, a lot of buyers dont’ like the idea of seller setting up the reserve price and start the listing from $0.01 or so.

Quantity: This is the number of quantity you sell on eBay. Default is 1.

Lot: The lot is the number of units in package. For example, if you want to sell a pack of pencils and it comes with 12 pencils, you can put “12” in lot section. You sell the item as 1 pack, but the buyer can tell this pack comes with 12 pencils easily.

Private Listing: Private listings are intended for use when, due to the nature of the item being sold, bidders don't want their identity to be revealed. While there are some cases where private listings are appropriate, such as the sale of high-priced items or approved pharmaceutical products, you should only make your listing private for a specific reason.

Private listing will be displayed as below on Feedback Profile page.

Item title and item number are not displayed. Also, the link to the listing page will be displayed as “Private”.

If you want to list your item as private listing, please check the below “make private”.

Ship from: This is the seller’s item location country.

City: This is the seller’s item location city name.

Condition: This is the condition of the item you sell. eBay set up the selectable conditions for each category. You can also add condition description for additional note to buyer.

Handling time: The handling time is the number of business days the seller will take to ship the item after receiving your cleared payment.

Duration: This is the listing duration of the item you want to sell. There are 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 30, or Good T’ll Canceled(GTC).

Start Time: When you create a listing, your item is listed immediately, unless you use the scheduled listing option to start it at a later time. You can either select “Now” or “Later”. Now- List item immediately Later-Schedule the listing for later date. Payment: Seller enters his own PayPal email address in below box and this is the PayPal email address you will receive the payment from buyer. If you also ✓ the “Require immediate payment”option, your listing will ask buyer to make payment before completing the purchase.

11. Return Policy: on eBay, seller is required to specify the Return Policy whether they accept or deny return for refund or exchange.

You can specify the return policy on SAATS Commerce in the same format as eBay and you can display the return policy under the eBay’s Shipping and Payment section.

12. Template: SAATS Commerce prepares 400 professionally designed templates for sellers to use. You can browse each template by below pull design category pull down. You can also click Show All Templates to display all templates by category and select the template you wish to use.

Counter: This is the access count analyzer just like the one for eBay.

13. Optional Listing Upgrade: This is the optional listing upgrade you can use if you pay optional fee to eBay.

14. Promotion: SAATS Commerce provide two promotion features to upsell your other active listings.

14-1. Product Scrolling Gallery: This is the animated show case gallery to display your other active listings just like below.

14-2. Sidebar Cross Promotion: SAATS Commerce display 6 other active listings with the choice of “New Listings”, “Same Category”, “Ending Soon” or “Hide(don’t use)”.

Every template comes with side bar cross promotion bar as well as product scrolling gallery. You should take advantage these free promotion features to upsell your other active listings.

14-3. Super Size Images: By checking this, when the buyer move the mouse over to your image, eBay will display the supersize image.

15. Shipping Information: This is the section you set up your shipping service, shipping cost to each regions, and exclude shipping location if you have.

Domestic Shipping means shipping cost to each eBay site’s host country. For example, as for eBay.com, domestic shipping cost means shipping cost to the United States.

International Shipping means shipping cost international countries or regison beside the host eBay site country.

You can click “+Offer Additional Service” to add up to 4 shipping service for both Domestic and International Shipping.

As for Japanese sellers, they can use first 3 shipping services and other shipping services don’t apply to them.

For example, the shipping service that Japanese sellers can use for domestic shipping services are as follows.

Economy Shipping from outside US - They are usually SAL, Airmail, and ePacket that are offered by Japan Post.

Standard shipping from outside US - It is usually EMS that is offered by Japan Post.

Expedited Shipping from outside US - They are usually express mail service that are offered by DHL, FeDex, and UPS.

The shipping service that Japanese sellers can use for international shipping services are as follows.

Economy Int’l Shipping - They are usually SAL, Airmail, and ePacket that are offered by Japan Post.

Standard Int’l Shipping - It is usually EMS that is offered by Japan Post.

Expedited Int’l Shipping - They are usually express mail service that are offered by DHL, FeDex, and UPS.

The above 3 each shipping services are the ones Japanese sellers can use.

Now, let’s set up the shipping service and shipping cost.

SAATS Commerce also provides the shipping calculator that is offered by Japan Post. You can click the JP logo to pop up the shipping calculator.

Then, the shipping calculator will display.

Select, the shipping service, destination country, and package weight. Then, click Calculate button.

The system will calculate the shipping cost as 2.040 Yen and also insert the equivalent amount in USD using today’s conversion rate between JPY and USD. You can round out the decimals and convert from $21.60 to $22.00.

Set up all the shipping cost as follows.

You set up Standard Shipping Service to all regions with correct shipping cost calculated by Japan Post. You can also set shipping cost different way based on your need. In order to offer “Free Shipping”, please enter 0.00 in shipping field and you can set up free shipping by this way.

Next thing you would do is set up the exclusion of countries to ship.

16. Save Listing As Template: If you are planning to use your created listing data later on, you can save as template and a lot of key information will be saved and you don’t have to enter them again. If you want to add it to your saved template, please check the box below and also name the template name.

This will be the all entries you have to fill out. Once you complete them, you can either click Preview to preview the listing or simply click Submit to submit your listing to eBay.

Click Preview to preview the listing.

Once you double check all the information is correct and ready for listing, click Run/Schedule button to submit listing.

Then, the listing will be moved to uploading folder.

Once the progress bar reaches 100%, the listing will be listed to eBay. It may take 30 seconds to 1 minutes. However, you don’t have to sit and wait for the listing to be submitted. You can click Create Another to continue other listings or click top menu to navigate yourself to other options.

Submission is completed.

Click Active Listing to check the submitted listing.

You will see the listed item on Active Listing folder. Click the title to view the active listing.
