Online Banking Express Web Connect Conversion Quicken Windows 2010, 2011 To validate that you use Express Web Connect, perform the following steps in Quicken: • Click on the Tools menu  select Account List. • Highlight any Bank of America California account  click on the Edit or Edit Details button. • In the Account Details dialog, click the Online Services tab • “This account is connected via Express Web Connect” will display.

We’re upgrading the bank systems we use to serve customers with accounts opened in California. As a result, your current Quicken settings need to be updated. Initially when you set up your California Bank of America accounts within Quicken, you selected “Bank of America – California” as the Financial Institution. To continue downloading account information accurately in the future, it is necessary to update the software to connect to the updated bank systems. If you use Quicken 2011, you may have set up “Bank of America – Quicken” as the Financial Institution. Please follow the same instructions outlined below for “Bank of America – California”

It’s important that you perform the following instructions as described, and in the order presented. If you do not, your Quicken service may not function properly. This update should only take 15 minutes.

This update is time sensitive and can be completed only after May 20, 2012.

Deactivate Bank of America – California (or Bank of America – Quicken) In order to connect to the updated bank systems, you (orfirst need to deactivate the accounts previously updated from Bank of America – California (Quicken). This is done by removing the online update connection as instructed below. This (step indicates that you will no longer be updating these accounts from Bank of America – California (Quicken). This will not delete the account or transaction history from Quicken.

Perform the following steps for each account currently being updated from Bank of America – California (Quicken).

Open Quicken: 1. Click on the Tools menu  select Account List. 2.

Highlight the account you want to deactivate  click on the Edit or Edit Details button. See screen example below.

3. In the Account Details dialog, click the Online Services tab  then click the Deactivate or

Remove From One Step Update. Note: the name of the buttons may vary depending on the services you currently use and the version of Quicken. See screen example below.

4. Quicken will prompt you to confirm deactivation  click Yes  click ok 5. Select the General or General Information tab and remove the Financial Institution Name

(Bank of America – California [Quicken]) and Account Number as shown below  click OK to save changes. See screen example below.

6. Repeat steps 2 -5 for each account currently being updated from Bank of America – California

(Quicken). Complete Deactivating Your Accounts for all accounts before proceeding.

Activate Bank of America-All Other States This process cannot be completed before May 20, 2012 In order to download transactions from the updated bank systems, you now need to activate those accounts for update from Bank of America-All Other States. This process will link your accounts to the updated bank systems and will also update the account number for checking and savings accounts with leading zeroes. Select an account you deactivated from Bank of America – California(Quicken) above. Note: You may select any account - by performing the following steps for that account Quicken will automatically include all Bank of America accounts. 1. Within Quicken, open the account register for the selected account. 2. Select Account Actions (top right section) Set Up Online 3. Enter Bank of America and click Next or Connect 4. Type your Online ID and Password. Click Next Depending on how you manage your Bank of America passwords, you may be prompted to enter your Vault password at this time or to enter the password in the One Step Update dialog. 5. When presented, answer the SiteKey® challenge question. This is one of the question/answers that you established with Bank of America when you set up SiteKey. Quicken will then download your account information from Bank of America. This download includes information for all accounts associated with the Online ID entered in step 4 above.

Ensure you associate each account to the appropriate account already listed in Quicken. When presented with the screen below, select Link or Exists in Quicken and select the matching account in the drop-down menu. See screen example below. Do Not select New or Add in Quicken. If you’re presented with accounts you don’t want to track, select Ignore – Don’t Download into Quicken.

7. After all accounts have been matched, click Next. 8. You’ll receive confirmation that your accounts have been added Click Done or Finish. The accounts will now be connected to Bank of America-All Other States and the account numbers are updated with leading zeroes for checking and savings as displayed on the “General Tab”. See screen example below.
