Ms. Kelly’s Back to School Night

1. Behavior Policy Let’s start with the first set of slides

Fuzzy system In our classroom, we focus on three big responsibilities: Taking Care of Ourselves Taking Care of Others Taking Care of our Classroom

The students are expected to live out these responsibilities to create a positive learning environment for all students of the classroom. When students are responsible and follow the rules of our classroom, the students will have the opportunity to earn "Warm Fuzzies". Warm Fuzzies can be earned for a variety of different things throughout the day such as being the first person ready to work or helping a student pick up their crayons that dropped on the floor. Warm Fuzzies are collected throughout the week and can be traded in on Friday morning for various special privileges.

Monthly calendar

The calendar should be looked at and discussed each night and then initialed in the box.

A Behavior Calendar will be sent home each month. This calendar is to stay inside your child’s folder. It will be sent home each night and should be returned to school each morning.

Stickers should be praised for a great day at school, and numbers should be talked about and a plan should be made on how to pay attention to a specific rule more carefully.

If students earn fuzzies throughout the day, they will earn a sticker on their calendar.

If your child is receiving the same number over and over, a note or phone call will go home or a conference will be scheduled

If students loses too many fuzzies throughout the day, I will place a number on the calendar corresponding to the rule or responsibility they need some extra practice with on that day.

If at any time you have questions about your child's behavior, please feel free to contact me.
