We would like to thank our many thousands of satisfied clients across North America who have travelled with us since 1987, and for who we have earned many awards, the most recent being the “Award of Excellence” from the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, making us the only tour operator in Canada Canada to receive this award.

We look forward to welcoming you on one of GMTours trips.

The trip was very well planned. enjoyable and relaxing. A lot of effort was made to look after our comfort and to ensure that there was a lot of variety and fun. The places we visited really gave us a great sense of Egypt and its people.

The tour guide who accompanied us to many sites in Cairo such as the Pyramids of Giza and Khan El Kalili was most knowledgeable and professional and really helped to make our trip a great success. Once again, thank you to GM Tours for the many wonderful services provided to us. Egypt is a beautiful country with many great things to see and do and would highly recommend it as a most desirable tourist destination. Hazel McCallion Mayor

Dahabiya Cruise

Dahabiya Cruise WHAT IS DAHABIYA? The Dhabiya was built approximately in 1835. It was used by Egypt’s former royal families and later on by celebrities of the 1950’s era for pleasure trips. As they were painted in gold the Dongola and similar boats were called ‘Dahabiya’ which means ‘Golden Boat’. Sailing on a Dahabiya ensures exploring the Nile in a traditional style while being able to enjoy visits to some unique places and monuments that cannot be reached by large cruise ships. Other memorable experiences are the BBQ on isolated islands or joining the ‘Chef’ for greengrocery shopping in rural markets and villages. Along the way, we moor on uninhabited Nile islands, where the virgin landscapes have hardly changed through the millennia. Wandering through the gardens and Nile islands is an idyllic pastime, and the perfect complement to your visits to Egypt’s matchless monuments. The Dahabiyas are beautifully crafted wooden ships, outfitted in colonial style with oriental and Egyptian touches. The interiors boast period furnishing, and each cabin has its own distinct style and interior EMBARKATION EVERY SATURDAY FROM ESNA TO ASWAN Dahabiya Cruise can be use in any GMTours programs instead of our Nile cruise
