• Home tab – The following menus are labeled along the bottom of this tab and each offers the listed options: o Clipboard - cut, copy, paste, use format painter (to copy/paste formatting) o Slides – insert new slide, change slide layout, reset formatting of slide, delete slide o Font - edit font, font size, font style (bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, subscript, superscript, case); highlight; edit font color, adjust character spacing, clear formatting o Paragraph - start a bulleted list, numbered list, or outline; increase/decrease indents; justify paragraphs; adjust line spacing; split text into columns, change text direction, align text, convert to SmartArt Graphic o Drawing – insert shapes, arrange objects, choose styles for a shape (shape fill, shape outline, shape effects) o Editing – find/replace text; select text/objects

  • Animations Tab- The following menus are labeled along the bottom of this tab and each offers the listed options: o Preview – preview animations and slide transitions o Animations – choose an animation, animate individual objects o Transition to This Slide – choose a special effect for the transition between slides (click arrows to the right to scroll through options), select a transition sound, adjust transition speed, apply the transition setting to all slides, choose method for advancing to new slide

• Slide Show Tab- The following menus are labeled along the bottom of this tab and each offers the listed options: o Start Slide Show – start slide show: from beginning, from current slide; create/play custom slide show o Set Up – set up advanced options for slide show, hide the current slide, record narration, rehearse timings, use rehearsed timings o Monitors – choose screen resolution, choose a monitor to show presentation, select presenter view to show presentation

  • Review Tab- The following menus are labeled along the bottom of this tab and each offers the listed options: o Proofing - check spelling, do research (of reference materials), access thesaurus, translate, set language o Comments – show comments, insert a comment, edit comment, delete comment, view previous comment, view next comment o Protect - restrict how people can access the presentation

• View Tab- The following menus are labeled along the bottom of this tab and each offers the listed options: o Presentation Views – set presentation view (normal, slide sorter, notes page); start slide show, open: slide master, handout master,  notes master o Show/Hide - show/hide: ruler, gridlines, message bar o Zoom – specify zoom level, zoom to fit window o Color/Grayscale – set to view presentation in: color, grayscale, pure black and white o Window - open new window, arrange open windows side-by-side, cascade open windows, move split windows, switch windows o Macros – view list of macros, run/create/delete a macro
