YEAR 1 Number and place value  count to and  across 100   read and write numbers to  100  count in multiples of 2, 5 and 10  identify one more and one less  identify more, less and equal to

Addition and subtraction use +, - and = add and take away within 20 solve problems and missing number problems

Multiplication and division  share and group  small amounts  construct arrays   solve one step problems

Fractions find and name a half find and name a quarter

Measurement 

compare, describe and measure length/ height, mass/weight, capacity and volume tell the time using o’clock and half past recognise different coins and notes sequence days of the week, months and years

YEAR 2 Number and place value  count in steps of 2, 3 and 5 and 10 forward and back  recognise place value of a 2 digit number (tens, ones)  compare and order numbers to 100

 

 

Addition and subtraction solve problems using + and – use add and take away facts to 20 and use related facts to 100 add and take away two 2 digit numbers see inverse between add and take away



 



Multiplication and division use  multiplication and division facts for 2, 5 and 10 times tables recognise odd and even  numbers solve problems involving multiplication and division see multiplication is commutative and division is not

find, name  and write fraction of 1/3, 1/4, 2/4 and  3/4 of length, shape or amount  know 2/4 and 1/2 are the same 



measure  using standard units compare and order measures use £ and p symbols and combine amounts make amounts of money using different coins tell and write the time to five minutes
