This Position The role of Chief Marketing Officer will oversee all marketing operations of SocietyOne and develop its marketing strategy and vision leveraging their experience and expertise. You will be in charge of a team of enthusiastic marketing professionals and will direct our marketing efforts towards achieving our short and long term growth goals. The CMO role is responsible for formulating and overseeing the planning, development and execution of SocietyOne’s marketing, advertising and communication initiatives for borrowers and investor funders. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and being a key member of the SocietyOne Leadership team, the CMO’s primary responsibility is to generate revenue and shareholder value by significantly growing customer numbers in the p2p lending market and generating lending originations growth at an acceptable cost, as well as the marketplace that includes other lender participants. This will be achieved through successful marketing activities through traditional and digital marketing channels including advertising, Public Relations, SEO/SEM, Comparison Sites, Get Credit Score, Direct Mail and EDMs, as well as Social Media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram etc). The CMO will achieve this by managing a team of 5 direct reports (see below) as well as by leveraging SocietyOne’s advertising, PR, media buying, Direct Mail and SEO agencies. These are DDB, Map & Page, Foundation, Resolution (Search) and Ask2 (Direct Mail).The CMO will also be a significant liaison to the Media Consortium (shareholder group) for the purposes of maintaining this relationship and leveraging the assets of the Consortium in accordance with the strategic relationship as documented from time to time. It is also expected that the CMO role will be SocietyOne’s Board Director representative on Get Credit Score. Get Credit Score is a joint venture between SocietyOne and Veda (25/75% shareholding). Get Credit Score is a destination where Australians can obtain their unique credit score for free and is a key affiliate channel for SocietyOne as well as being a key data source for our business. Develop and execute the Board approved marketing strategy and brand position for SocietyOne Implement and manage the annual marketing expense budget for SocietyOne Design and execute marketing campaigns that achieve agreed targets for new customer growth, lending originations growth, revenue, CPA (cost per acquisition), conversion rates, and customer satisfaction targets in conjunction with the other Heads of Business Leverage data and analytics to drive business and customer insights Develop customer segmentation, competitive analysis/market intelligence, prospecting, lead generation, channel management Build the SocietyOne brand and profile to become Australia’s leading, most trusted, people powered lending marketplace including brand awareness/

recognition, and brand preference. This includes management responsibility for SocietyOne’s Facebook, LinkedIn and Social Media presence Develop successful affiliate partnerships and channels, including activities through Comparison Sites and Get Credit Score Implement customer satisfaction/net promoter score/customer feedback/voice of the customer tracking systems and management reporting, and develop strategies to improve the end-to-end customer experience through UX design and process experience Oversee and direct the efforts of the marketing team. This will include attracting, retaining and building talent within the Marketing team and coaching individuals to exceed their objectives including regular performance assessment and TL&D requirements Oversee and manage the selection, performance assessment and contract management of the Company’s external marketing agency relationships Organise and assist with the Companies key internal and external events management As part of the SocietyOne Leadership team, participate and contribute to the Company’s success through involvement in Board of Director Meetings (as required), Weekly Leadership Team Meetings, Weekly Staff Stand Up sessions, Monthly Risk and Compliance, and Product, Pricing and Credit Meetings, and other forums as required.

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications •

Bachelor degree and/or an advanced degree in marketing and business (MBA)



Proven experience as Chief Marketing Officer or similar role



Demonstrable experience in growing new businesses as well as developing effective and efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects. Strong digital marketing capability required



Practical understanding of Empowered Contextual Marketing – predicting and anticipating what people want driven by micro audience data to identify behavioural cues, and then serving contextual content in a realtime environment that drives value and builds customer relationships and loyalty



Financial services experience preferred – peer-to-peer and/or consumer lending



Strong relationship management and contract negotiation skills



Superb analytical/quant skills with a strong understanding of data management and marketing analytics



Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team



Passionate about customer advocacy and customer experience



Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Must live the SocietyOne values.
