Tourism For All Tourism For All UK is the UK Voice for Accessible Tourism, a national charity dedicated to making tourism welcoming to all.

Enable Scotland

Tourism gives people something to look forward to, a chance for adventure, or perhaps some time to yourself. In the past, some people have encountered barriers to participation in tourism - those with disabilities, older people, carers of young people or disabled or older relatives - Tourism For All works to overcome these.

ENABLE Scotland publishes an annual holiday list with details of suitable accommodation for people with disabilities. The list has details of hotels and selfcatering accommodation in Scotland, UK and abroad; sources of funding, travel insurance information and advice. 0141 226 4541 0844 854 9748 www.enable.org.uk [email protected] 2nd Floor,146 Argyle Street, Glasgow, Scotland, G2 8BL

Hft’s Family Carer Support Service Hft is a national charity that supports people with learning disabilities and their families. Our Family Carer Support Service (FCSS) provides a friendly, national support service for family carers who have relatives with learning disabilities, run by a team of family carers and experienced family support staff. Anyone is welcome to contact us - all our services are free to family carers. • We give one to one support through phone calls, emails and letters • We run courses of workshops for groups of family carers around the country • We send out Family Carer News Digests about policy, practice and carers issues • We develop other family focused materials and publications • We work in partnership with other organisations and do commissioned work for family carers and/or professionals.

Family Carer Database We hold a list of families and organisations who have asked to receive: • Regular news in the form of letters and news digests • Invitations to workshops and events being organised in their area. If you would like to be on our Family Carer Database, please fill in & return the form over the page. Your details will be completely confidential and you will not receive unwanted mailings. Anyone is welcome to ask for copies of our FCSS News Digest, annual holiday information, a DVD on Self Directed Support and other materials. You do not need to be on our database to ask for support! To find out more, ask us about our workshop programme, look on our website or contact us and join our Family Carer Database to receive our latest information. Telephone 0117 906 1751. We can use a telephone translation and interpreting service for people who would like to know more about our support but would find it difficult to ring us because they are non English speakers and/or people who have English as a second language. We hope you find this guide interesting and useful. We would welcome any feed back! All best wishes, Robina Mallett Family Carer Support Officer
