Travel agents form the main pillar of the tourist chain. Their number has steadily risen especially these past few years, following very flexible requirements for issuance of Licenses by the Tourist Board. There are about 350 such agents that have received permits or licences from Ministry of Tourism, most of which are based in Abidjan. Most of them carry out ticketing while tourist trip organising is reserved for a few agencies having transport facilities and working relationship with foreign tour-operators. Côte d'Ivoire tourist package revolves around a varied wide-range of tourist attractions, such as: - Seaside tourist resorts : Côte d’Ivoire has over 500 km of coast. Some areas of the Ivorian coast have been developed and have high quality luxury hotel complexes to welcome tourists; - Religious tourism: the principal attractions of this tourism are Our Lady of Peace Holy Basilica in Yamoussoukro, the secular mosques of the North, the Toukouzou Hosalem Sanctuary, etc. ; - Thematic or cultural tourism: the ethnic diversity of Côte d'Ivoire is a rich cultural heritage. It is motivated by the existence of cultural infrastructure facilities (museums, dancing schools or arts centres, cultural centres) cultural events and cultural tourist circuits; - Business and conference tourism: this is motivated by the existence of conference and meeting facilities as well as business opportunities; - Leisure and entertainment tourism: there are different entertainment spots in Côte d’Ivoire, especially in Abidjan and Gagnoa; - Sports tourism: Golf has long been a central point of sports tourism. Côte d'Ivoire has opportunities for sport fishing off its coast, mainly in the Southwest;
5
- Gastronomic tourism: the 'maquis', i.e. restaurants for Ivorian cuisine specialities, are much appreciated (they go from simple to more sophisticated) and are found all over the territory. The products offered by the professionals are mainly from diversified and complementary circuits. Tourism circuit As per her geographic location Côte d'Ivoire is a mixture of forest and savannah with an ethnic diversity presenting a wide variety of folk songs and dancing, handicrafts and religions. The availability of items of value on the Ivorian territory offers a set of diversity and complementary circuits that make up the multi-facetted cultural mosaic of Côte d'Ivoire. Traditional danses circuit: Gagnoa, Daloa, Bouaflé, Dida and Bété danses, the Sabré in Issia. The Poro circuit : Korhogo, Boundiali, Ferké, Kong, Katiola. The masks circuit: Daloa, Man, Odienné, Boundiali, Korhogo, Bouaké, the Masks Festival in Guiglo, Danané. The ancient villages of Biankouma and Gouesso, Bouaflé (the exit point of Zaouli Masks). The Baoulé country: At the foot of Mount Rombo-Boka, there are still the shafts from which was extracted gold that was the source of prosperity of the Baoulé people fostering the expansion of very refined handicraft: batik textiles, Akan weights, fertility statuettes, wooden masks, and gold earrings. Yamoussoukro, native village of President Houphouet Boigny, is a vanguard architectural masterpiece: marble Hotel President overlooking one of the most beautiful golf courses in the World; higher futuristic schools. Our Lady of Peace Basilica, with its breathtaking beauty, is a World prime of technologies used, with its large glazed windows ancient style. Our Ladies of Peace Basilica is a holy sanctuary of faith and tourism in Côte d'Ivoire. The Sénoufo country This is the region of harmony settled by the Poro. Outside the vicinity of the sacred forest, it is the appearance of extraordinary masks, frightening or mischievous and always unusual, followed by its melodious balafons. Globally renowned, the Sénoufo handicraft is rich for its Korhogo painted canvases, polychrome masks and potteries.

The Yacouba country Man - Touba - Man – Abidjan In the West in the cool mountainous climate, lies the Yacouba or Dan country. Man, the city of 18 hills is nestling in a green setting and among waterfalls, with its fabulous liana bridges which none can yet explain how they are made. It is a fascinating Gor cult with its well initiated priests who have the power to become invisible or to be transformed into leopards, masked men who twirl around on very long stilts. Young girls covered with cowries gracefully throwing themselves upon daggers held by dancers. Woven clothes, basketworks, woodcarvings, Dan masks, for well-informed collectors, are the main handicraft products from the Yacouba country. The Agni country Abengourou, Zaranou (first capital city of the Agni country), Tanguelan (a discovery by the most renowned group of fetish-priests of the Agni country), would impress you with a danse of the initiated. The Agni craftsmen make the stylish tapestry works (Abengourou), statuettes, richly woven clothes. Faces of Côte d’Ivoire Abidjan, Man, Odienné, Korhogo, Yamoussoukro via Bouaké. Yamoussoukro - Abidjan. LIST OF EMBASSIES ACCREDITED IN COTE D’IVOIRE

CLIMATIC CONDITIONS DURING THE PERIOD OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (June 2014) ;
For the month of June we have a rainy season in the southern region with very high humidity and temperatures ranging from 26° to 30° C, and requiring umbrellas. Climate Three climatic zones: Sub-equatorial climate Along the coastal region (Abidjan - San Pedro) with very low temperatures, high humidity and much rains. This area has four seasons: a dry and hot season with some rains from December to April; a longer rainy season from May to July; a shorter dry season from August to September; a short rainy season from October to November. Humid tropical climate Extends over the forest region and south of the savannah region. This is marked by higher temperatures than the coastal region (up to 70% of humidity and 1,200 mm of rains in Bouaké and 2,300 mm in Danané), the area also has a long rainy season from June to October; a short rainy season from March to May; a short dry season from July to August. Sudanese type climate Extends over the savannah region excluding its southern part. It is marked by relatively sustained daily and annual heat waves, a humidity relatively lower than that of the southern part of the country between 40% and 50%, and by intermittent presence of cold and dry wind - the harmattan - between December and February. This region has two seasons: a rainy season in April; a dry season from November to June with rains from July to October. ELECTRIC POWER VOLTAGE :
The voltage used in Côte d’Ivoire is 220 V. Generally we have sockets with two inlets, so carry adaptors.
