Playing content on your mobile or tablet You can watch selected channels, movies and recordings on your mobile or tablet in the comfort of your own home or on the go (see Page 4).
FAQs for playing Subscription TV and Movie Box This section explores messages given by the app when playing Movie Box (see Page 22) and live Subscription TV channels (see Page 24) on mobiles and tablets.
How many playback devices are allowed? A playback device is any paired mobile or tablet on which you can play Fetch TV content. There’s a limit of 5 devices that can be paired to the set top box to watch Standard Definition Free to Air Recordings. However, you can only have up to 3 registered playback devices at any time for watching live Subscription TV channels and Movie Box. Fetch TV will register your mobile or tablet the first time you play Subscription TV or Movie Box on it. You can then register 2 more mobiles or tablets to have a total of 3 playback devices for this type of content.
Figure 40: Registering a device for playback of Movie Box
Switching playback devices You can switch playback devices if you already have 3 playback devices registered and need to add a new device. If you try to watch Subscription TV or Movie Box on the unregistered mobile or tablet, the app will prompt you to switch out an existing device. There is a limit of 2 switches per calendar month and 10 switches per calendar year.

Figure 41: Playback Unavailable (maximum number of registered devices)
If you Cancel the warning, you won’t be able to watch Movie Box movie or Subscription TV on this new mobile or tablet. However, you can still watch on your set top box and TV, or on one of your other registered playback devices, and you can always watch Standard Definition Free to Air recordings on any paired mobile or tablet. If you choose to Switch Out, you may then choose the device to switch out, and will then need to enter your Parental PIN to proceed.
Figure 42: Choose mobile or tablet

Once your new mobile or tablet is registered, the content will start playing. If your device cannot be registered at this point, the app will inform you.

What happens if you reach the switch out limit? If you’ve already switched playback devices twice this month or 10 times this year, the app will inform you.
Figure 44: Playback unavailable this month or year
You can still watch on your set top box and TV, or watch Standard Definition Free to Air recordings on your paired mobile or tablet.
Can I play content on more than one mobile device at the same time? Yes. You can watch Movie Box or Subscription TV on up to 2 of your playback devices at the same time. If you try to play Movie Box or Subscription TV while your other 2 playback devices are currently playing this type of content, the app will prompt you to stop playback on one of the other devices.

Is playing Fetch TV content on my mobile device unmetered? Playing Subscription TV or Movie Box content to your mobile device is unmetered provided your mobile device is connected to your Fetch TV service provider’s broadband network. You’ll get a warning if you try to play content while your mobile device is connected to a mobile network (such as 3G).

Playback limited to Wi-Fi connection Some content on the Fetch TV App can only be played over a broadband network (i.e. is not playable over a mobile network such as 3G).
