Who we are... Establised in 1889 the Expanded Metal Company continues to produce expanded metal meshes for the worldwide market from its original site in Hartlepool, North East England. The Expanded Metal Company uses expanded metal mesh to produce robust security fences and other security products. Expanded Metal Security Products are designed for a range of applications from perimeter demarcation to the highest level of security. Our range caters for a number of sectors across the UK, including tailor made systems for Rail, Utilities, Schools, Retail and Local Authorities to a high standard of security systems for Airports, Prisons and MoD. Expanded Metal Security Products can be individually tailored to suit your needs, whether you are replacing an existing fence or opting for a brand new one. All of our fencing is made in house, using the latest technology. Hot dip galvanised with the option of polyester powder coating means the fencing can either blend into the background or be turned into an eye catching feature. Our product range includes systems which have gained the police preferred ‘Secured by

Design’ and LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) accreditations. This identifies technical standards and evaluations, which test the competence of the security products and their resistance to criminal attack. As a testament to our commitment to innovation, we were the first manufacturer to be awarded the highly prized LPCB SR3 rating for our high security fencing and gate systems. The British Standards Institution has awarded The Expanded Metal Company a BS EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality Systems Certificate which ensures quality production, distribution and customer service. We also have a BS EN ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems Certificate which ensures that environmental issues are considered in relation to all company activites. EXMESH Fastrack

Security Level: Medium Suggested Applications Rail Industry/Network Track-side Depots Bridges General Fencing Municipal Areas/Parks Hospital Grounds Schools/Education Utility Sites Accreditations

Developed in conjunction with the rail industry to help reduce route crime issues on track-side. This is a secure alternative to palisade or chain link fencing systems as it utilises a number of stringer rails to support and reinforce the mesh panels making them harder to damage or cut holes through. The robust construction of the system means that it has a very long field life and it can be installed in areas where access is restricted or difficult as it is maintenance free. Many of these systems have been installed in other public or unmanned areas that benefit from the above features such as schools, parks and hospital grounds and utility sites.

This specialist product consists of glass reinforced plastic (GRP) panels and posts, that offers a host of special benefits. Can be used as a permanent or temporary barrier system with heights available from 1m up to 6m lending itself to a whole range of safety and security applications. Extremely strong – which can take impacts of up to 2000lbs Non conductive – making it ideal for high voltage environments such as power stations, substations and railways, due to its non-conductive parts that are also fire-resistant. Non corrosive – making it ideal for environments where chemical or saltwater exposure is likely. Radar and microwave invisible – ideal for use in high security environments where radar or microwave intruder detection is in use.

Fencing Information The ExMesh™ NCBS allows perimeters to be secured, whilst being invisible to radar As the mesh is made from GRP and not metal, this fencing system is much lighter than traditional steel fencing systems, although almost as strong All posts and fixings of this fencing system are made from the same GRP as the

fencing panels, therefore making them non-conductive and invisible to the radar The fencing system can also be retro fitted using steel posts and fittings that have previously been installed. The complete ExMesh™ Super Security fencing system is one of the highest levels of security available on the market and has slim profiled mesh pattern that prevents conventional cutting tools being used as the gaps are too small to get tools or blades through. Makes an ideal alternative to 358 welded mesh but with the benefit of being a single sheet of steel with no welds, joins or weak points for that extra piece of security.

Security Level: High Suggested Applications Specifically designed and manufactured to control access to restricted areas

A special gate design that incorporates a gate frame with side insill panels and additional overhead panels where required. These gates can be installed as a kit to offer rapid high security access control to restricted areas. These gates can have pedestrian opening, vehicle opening or both. All gates are custom made to fit the exact site requirements and no two gates can be accessed with the same key, which are a unique design making them virtually impossible to copy.

Available in two options, Rigid and Modular, our cage range offer a low cost solution designed to suit all markets, from safety products to high value stock i.e. tools. Whilst we carry a range of sizes in stock, all cages can also be manufactured to meet individual specifications. For total weather protection each panel is hot dip galvanised with the option of polyester powder coating. Each cage can be easily assembled using fixings provided which include anchor bolts to secure the cage to an existing concrete base.

Rigid ExMesh™ Cages are delivered fully welded, sturdy and ready for immediate use. Modular ExMesh™ Cages can be easily assembled using the fixings provided which include anchor bolts to secure the cage to an existing concrete base. These cages can also be supplied 2, 3, or 4 sided and can be extended or shorted as required.
