Cat Code 70 01 - 70 17 Palisade is a style of fencing, which is now popular around many industrial sites. Palisade is more secure than many other fencing systems, so wherever security is priority, palisade is used.

Palisade gives you the choice of pale sections in either traditional ‘D’ profile or ‘W’ profile. For security purposes ‘SP’ both profiles are rolled in wider and thicker steel, giving additional strength. General purpose ‘GP’ fencing is produced in a thinner profile making it ideal for economic security where a lower fence height is sought.

Palisade Gates Cat Code 70 17 Gates are manufactured in a choice of designs to complement and co-ordinate with the range of fencing systems. Our gates are also designed to ensure the level of perimeter security afforded is not compromised, whilst still playing an important role in the flow of traffic and pedestrians. The Gates can also be provided in special designs to accommodate entrances which are to become the main feature to enhance the stature of the surroundings and add to the value of the property. Less prestigious entrances may benefit from practical gate designs that will not impose on the boundary but blend in with the perimeter. Swing Gates are manufactured in a range of designs to co-ordinate with any fencing system or a more individual style for special products. Special hinges with bearings will ensure smooth movement where electrical operation is required.

A range of security features are available to be built into our gates, with provision for heavy security padlocks for manual gates, magnetic locks for electrically operated swing gates, or drive units (that cannot be reversed for electrically operated sliding gates). Safety features are built into all electric drive motors with a host of additional features such as warning lights and safety edges available.

Fencing

Sliding gates either cantilevered or with round track have bearings on the top guides and bottom rollers to ensure ease of operation. This facility will allow gates to have electric drive motors fitted at a later stage if required.

Cat Code 64 02 McArthur Top Security provides a strong, effective obstruction. Maximum security is assured with 7 sets of rotating spikes per metre. Each set of spikes has 20 points giving a visual deterrent to any would be intruder that would prove effective if put to the test. A choice of fixing brackets allow the barriers to be added to brick walls and the eaves of buildings. Spikes are delivered to site in flat form for shaping during the assembly process.

Bastion Secure 358 Cat Code 74 01 L The Bastion Secure 358 welded mesh system is designed to achieve the highest level of security, providing peace of mind to the end user. Whether the requirement is for general or high security this system fits the bill. The Bastion Secure 358 mesh panels provide a high degree of security, whilst giving a discreet visual impact on the environment. The mesh apertures provide see through visibility but ensure that the fence is difficult to climb as it doesn’t allow finger or toe holds and is also extremely difficult to cut.

Bastion Secure Beam Cat Code 74 01 L The Bastion Secure Beam system is designed to be secure yet stylish, with a strong, anti-climb panel that is pleasing to the eye. Panel strength is enhanced by the three pressed horizontal beams within it. This unique panel also provides see-through visibility but is difficult to climb as there are no finger or toe holds. The security aspect can also be enhanced by the extensions for barbed wire.

Specification The mesh panels are manufactured from 4mm wire, resistance welded to form a mesh profile of 12.7mm (1/2 inch) wide by 76.2mm (3 inches) long with three profiled horizontals that greatly increase the strength of the panel.

The mesh itself is 50mm x 200mm, fully welded at every intersection and each Panel is 3m wide. The panels have a barbed edge and a flush edge. The client has the option of installing the barbed edge at the top of the fence, as a deterrent to climbing, or at the bottom, for example where the fencing is one of the lower heights in a playground situation. If you require the barb down option then an inverted clip will need to be ordered. The width of the V panels suit post centres of approx. 3030mm, and the VT panels approx. 2500mm.

Bastion 'Multi-Mesh' System

Cat Code 74 01 N McArthur have incorporated all the individual requirements needed for a professional, robust and affordable Ballcourt. Our aim is to make it as simple as possible for our end client, to obtain a complete ballcourt fencing solution. No need to source individual components and work out how they fit together, it's all been done for you.

This system was specifically designed to provide a perfect 'rebound board'. The panel is manufactured from 6mm vertical wires and twin 8mm horizontals. The overall height of the panel is 2m, of which; up to a height of 1.2m the vertical wires are at 50mm centres and the horizontals at approx 68mm centres, with every third horizontal reinforced with twin wires.

Durable Ballcourt systems endure more physical punishment than your typical fence. The selection of construction materials and design therefore are crucial to the success of the overall project. We use only robust materials to ensure that our ballcourt system will withstand the 'wear and tear' to which it will be subjected.

The remaining 800mm comprised of horizontals spaced at 200mm. The 'multi-mesh' panels combine with Duo mesh panels, all fitted to a 'box section' RHS or SHS post, to achieve an overall fence height of 3, 4 or 5m or a combination thereof (for example a 3m high court that increases of 5m behind each goal).

Colour Options Ballcourt panels can be coated in a variety of colours. Rebound panels can be coated to match or contrast with the upper mesh, and with the surrounding environment.

The 'multi-mesh' panels can be fixed to both sides of the post, allowing a rebound surface to adjoining courts.

Noise Reduction The anti-rattle clip is designed to reduce noise between panel and post whilst the court is in use. Goal Recess Areas McArthur Ballcourt systems also incorporate a standard option for goal recess areas, utilising smoothly rounded cover plates.

Bastion Duo Sportsfence Duo Panel Option As with the 'multi-mesh' system, the Duo Sportsfence is available in heights of 3, 4 and 5m. The Duo panels are manufactured from 6mm vertical wires and twin 8mm horizontals.

Hockey Board Both options are available with universal fixing brackets that facilitate the attachment of timber hockey boards between 150 and 350mm in height, and a thickness of up to 50mm. The hockey board is fitted in front of the mesh. Gradients Ballcourts are generally flat, but often a very gentle gradient is required for drainage. Bastion ballcourts can be stepped by 35mm per post for this purpose.

Bastion Contourail Cat Code 74 01 I The McArthur Contour range offers the most innovative self raking fencing system which makes fast, easy and economical installation possible, even on sloping or undulating ground conditions. Contour railings unique non-welded design enables it to be assembled after coating which means that colour combination options are many and varied, even within an individual panel.

Improved Rail

The HD rail can withstand a downward pressure of up to 200kg with no premanent sag, therefore no ground tube centre supports are required. Traditional Contour railing can rake to 800mm and Standard Bow Top to 550mm per panel.

Contourail Gate All the gates are supplied with internal lockable dropbolt and lockable sliplatch as standard. For self closing gates please contact your local McArthur Branch for further information. We offer a full range of standard gates, which are available in both single and double leaf. As well as swing gates McArthur also supplies a range of cantilever and tracked sliding gates. Styles Standard Capped Top, Mitred Top or Square Bar This option consists of traditional styles where the verticals protrude top and bottom of the twin horizontals. Standard Bow Top The overall effect of this style is to give a contemporary feel to a time-honoured design. This system is ideal for the housing sector. Playground Bow Top This system is manufactured to RoSPA guidelines, which means there are no head traps, finger traps or neck traps. Security Capped and Mitred Top Security capped and mitred have closer vertical bar spacings, ideal when extra security or safety is needed.

Fencing

The design of the HD horizontal rail means that the installer can adjust the railing on site to follow ground contours, and accommodate any changes in direction, as they proceed around the fenceline.

Cat Code 63 05 G Benefits High Rigidity - The rolled beam profile at the top and bottom edge of each panel results in maximum rigidity.

The Bastion range comprises both sliding and swing gates. Each choice of gate is designed and produced to the bespoke sizes required and in a wide range of colours.

Safety - The principle feature of the panel is unique rolled beam section at the top and bottom edge. The open mesh profile is also decorative and allows excellent through visibility. These safety features make roll top ideal for playgrounds, play areas and parks. Height - To achieve fence heights above 1.8m the panels are designed for multi-lift erection i.e one or more panels are placed above the bottom panel.

Swing Gates The swing gate range provides Standard, Secure Gate Designs which allow the client to specify gates that match any of the Bastion fencing systems. The range includes both single and Double Leaf Gates, complete with Gate Posts. Excluding Ballcourts, all gates are available with or without vertical extensions to carry security toppings such as Barbed Tape. Gates with extensions are supplied complete with all the necessary fittings to take their chosen toppings. All Swing gates can be manufactured to open in or out as required, and all gate posts are available free standing or to fit within the fence line

Sliding Gates

Panels The panels are 3000mm wide and heights range from 900 to 1800mm. To achieve fence heights in excess of 1.8m the panels are designed for multi-lift erection i.e one or more panels placed above the bottom panel. The panels have a unique and "user friendly" closed beam section located along the top and bottom edge of the panel, with no sharp or raw edges. Roll Top panels are suitable where safety is a consideration.

Fencing

Mesh sizes are available 150 x 50mm, and panels are manufactured from heavy 5mm wires, to achieve high levels of rigidity.

Security Roll Top satisfies the requirements of Category: 1 (General Purpose) and Category: 2 (Security) fences.

The gates are designed without any horizontal bracing, which may act as an aid to climbing, and incorporate a special anti-run out safety device which prevents derailing of the gate. The security lock is tamper proof. The Bastion sliding gate is available in 3 different versions; each style will integrate perfectly with the Bastion railing system of the same name. Bastion gates look equally distinguished within a chain link, palisade or welded mesh fenceline.

Car Parking Posts Telescopic Posts A Telescopic post to protect doors, driveways and parked vehicles, which is flush with the ground when not in use. It is raised using a handle in the top of the post. A shot bolt holds the post upright, enabling a padlock to be fitted, locking the post in position. Car Parking Posts A simple, robust, corrosion resistant, post design to restrict access to parking spaces, driveways etc. Any forcible attempt to remove the post would be conspicuous. These posts can be locked in both the horizontal and vertical position by using a padlock with a hardened steel shackle. Manufactured from 60mm diameter steel tube and hot dip galvanised. The post can be surface mounted (using rawlbolts) or concreted into a prepared hole.

Masterfence Chainlink Fencing System Masterfence Sports Court Fencing is a high quality but inexpensive court surround framework for infilling with Chainlink mesh and is recommended for prestige appearance. It provides an elegant and durable system.

Made at our own factory, steel fence posts exhibit the best strength to weight ratio of any post types, and can be made to suit all types of fencing from high profile permanent security erections to temporary fencing. Posts are supplied with one coat of black oxide paint, galvanised or PPC coated in a variety of RAL colours. Recognising that no two jobs are alike, we’ll consult with you to determine your needs, carry out a site survey and supply you with a bespoke fencing system that meets these needs. Installation will be carried out by one of our approved contractors, who have been selected for their ability in erecting Masterfence systems.

Our KEE ACCESS range meets all these requirements and complies with current Building Regulations. KEE ACCESS fittings have been specially designed to give a smooth handrail with size 7 tube (outside diameter 42.2mm). Gabion Baskets Cat Code 26 09 F Gabions are modular building blocks formed of wire mesh and filled on site with rock, stone or crushed concrete. Although gabions can theoretically be manufactured of any type of wire or plastic mesh, the most suitable type of mesh is a dimensionally stable mesh that is non-ravelling. Welded wire mesh has now become the principal mesh used in the manufacture of gabions. The mesh is a welded wire square mesh of 76.2mm x 76.2mm and are available supplied with a galvanised finish. The units are supplied flat packed and are wired or helicalled on site to form the box shapes.

Applications Mass Gravity Retaining Walls Gabion walls are flexible structures where the design is based on the mass of the gabions providing stability against the disturbing forces due to the soil and surcharges. In general gabion walls are inclined at 6 degrees from the vertical to improve stability, with the correct gabion specification the inclination can be increased normally to a maximum of 10 degrees which can provide cost savings in design. Care should be taken in designing vertical walls because of their flexible nature Gabion Fencing Gabion fencing is the construction of thin section walls, normally 0.3 to 0.5m wide with vertical faces. The gabions cannot provide stability on their own, they require additional support to resist wind loading in the form of steel posts.

Free Standing Walls Free standing perimeter wallings or sound wallings formed of gabions are preferably trapezoidal in section, the mass providing stability against wind loading and pedestrian barrier loading.

Fencing

The design can consider the stability provided by the mass of the wall with the post providing the resistance to the resultant momentum required to provide adequate factors of safety. Loadings due to wind and pedestrian barriers must be considered in design.

Other applications consist of; Gabion Faced Reinforced Soil Walls, Gabion Revetments, River Walling, Gabion Cladding, Rockfall Protection, Gabion Outfall and Structures, Weir Structures and Coastal Protection.
