What is an Arkansas Stone
“Arkansas stone” is a natural stone called Novaculite that is quarried in, you guessed it, the Arkansas area. We carry the highest quality premium grades of Hard and Soft Arkansas stone. This natural stone color varies from transparent, white, and black.
Benefits of Hard Arkansas
Creates the ultimate, razor sharp, near mirror finish and long lasting edge. This stone does not require flattening and has the longest stone life. For use on a final edge after a fine grit oil stone or soft arkansas has shaped the edge.

Creates the ultimate, razor sharp, near mirror finish and long lasting edge. This stone does not require flattening and has the longest stone life. For use on a final edge after a fine grit oil stone or soft arkansas has shaped the edge.
More economical type of arkansas stone that produces a very fine edge only surpassed by hard arkansas. Softer stone allows you to create a very fine edge on your blade. Best results if used after a standard fine grit oil stone like on page 3.

Sticks & Stones Unlimited, Inc. was established in 1973 by Jack and Jerry Brewer, to supply a niche market in the abrasive industry. This father and son team set out to fill a need by supplying dressing and honing sticks to users in the Texas area. We have grown from a garage start up to a large manufacturing facility in Arlington, Texas. We are centered in between Dallas and Fort Worth near the DFW Airport. 40+ years later, still family owned and operated we have expanded to serve domestic and international clientele focusing on specialized abrasive solutions in industrial applications. All orders are subjet to a minimum charge of $20.00 plus shipping. Any order entered having a net invoice value of less than minumum may be invoiced at $20.00 plus shipping. All orders are shipped by an approved courier collect or prepaid and added to the invoice.
