Jan. 2015∼ today

Project MECANEX" (H2020 ICT project)

Title: Multimedia Content Annotations for Rapid Exploitation in Multi-Screen Environments".

MECANEX devises innovative tools for automatic annotation of multimedia content, extraction of personalized information and adaption in multi-screen environments. Working on the design and development of the Social and Personalization Tool to provide personalized services and recommendations of multimedia content to the users of multi-screen environments.

Feb. 2013 ∼ today

Project FAN-of-NUM" (GSRT-1260-ARISTEIA)

Title: Foundations of Advanced Networking by means of Network Utility Maximization".

FAN-of-NUM project aims at establishing and evolving a common network engineering mathematical language", based on advanced network utility maximization (NUM) theory, to build a solid foundation for the design of modularized and distributed control of networks, as well as for the analysis and treatment of the available resources and corresponding network resource allocation mechanisms. It will dene principles and methodologies for designing proper utilities, setting the corresponding NUMs and solving them. It will set the basis for a new era of protocols and architectures exploiting cross layering, modularization, and autonomicity, and will facilitate the reengineering of old ones. I am involved in all of its tasks, with focus on the wireless multihop networks.

2009 ∼ 2011

Project EFIPSANS" (FP7- INFSO-ICT-215549)

Title: Exposing the Features in IP version six Protocols that can be Exploited for the Purposes of Designing/Building Autonomic Networks and Services (EFIPSANS)".

Participated in the design of trust models in autonomic (self-*) environments by addressing inter and intracomponent trust.
