Project FAN-of-NUM" (GSRT-1260-ARISTEIA)
Title: Foundations of Advanced Networking by means of Network Utility Maximization".
FAN-of-NUM project aims at establishing and evolving a common network engineering mathematical language", based on advanced network utility maximization (NUM) theory, to build a solid foundation for the design of modularized and distributed control of networks, as well as for the analysis and treatment of the available resources and corresponding network resource allocation mechanisms. It will dene principles and methodologies for designing proper utilities, setting the corresponding NUMs and solving them. It will set the basis for a new era of protocols and architectures exploiting cross layering, modularization, and autonomicity, and will facilitate the reengineering of old ones. I am involved in all of its tasks, with focus on the wireless multihop networks.
•
2009 ∼ 2011
