Principal`s Report School Musical Update The tickets are selling well at this stage and we encourage you to purchase these quickly for the performances next week. The students and staff have been very active rehearsing; making back drops and organising various costumes and extras for the show next week. We hope you can join us for the matinee or evening shows. A reminder for the evening shows is that ALL students will be returned to the holding rooms (Library and S3G / S3C classrooms) and parents will need to collect their children from these rooms. We need to do this to ensure all children are safely returned to their families. Father’s Day Stall this Friday A reminder that the Father’s Day stall will be held this week. Students from all classes will have the opportunity to purchase on Wednesday and Friday. We thank the parents for their time in organising this event. Careers Expo- Thank you to all contributors Thank you to Mrs Sirone and her loyal team for their terrific effort in organising this event for the students of Wyong PS. It has been another success and allowed your children the opportunity to aspire through education to work towards a career. The morning was well attended by parents and we had some terrific discussions and presentations by our business / professionals who attended and gave up their morning to spend time at our school. School Crossing and Illegal Parking Thank you to the parents who have stopped parking opposite the school on Cutler Drive. We still have some parents who continue to park in this area therefore making it dangerous to students waiting for Bus 79 and other pedestrians. This area is not for parents to park before or at the end of the school day. The local council have been notified again about this as students waiting for buses and those walking home along the path are at risk of injury when cars decide to park on this area of land. Please park in designated areas only. The crossing supervisors have strict regulations and rules about allowing students / parents to cross and this is to ensure everyone is safe when they do cross. Please ensure you follow these rules, and only cross when instructed to do so. This area is not for parents to park before or at the end of the school day. The local council have been notified about this as students waiting for buses and those walking home along the path are at risk of injury when cars decide to park on this area of land. Please park in designated areas only. Lost Clothing We continue to have some items of clothes outside the library (in a box) that have been picked up and placed in the lost property box. Thank you to those students and families who have taken items but we continue to have lost items in this area. We cannot return these items to families unless they have a name on them. If your child has lost clothing we ask that you come in and look at the items collected. We also have lunch boxes and drink bottles that also have been found.

Mr T. Miladinovic Principal Stage 1 News

Stage One were lucky enough to have a visit from the NSW Ambulance Service last week. All students got to go inside the back of the ambulance to have a close up look at the equipment. They talked about what is an emergency and how and when to call 000. They also learnt that it is important to know your own phone number and address. All Stage One would like to thank Rebecca for giving up her own time to share this valuable information with us. Photos have been put on website.

Stage 1 teachers S1C Work S1C students were asked to write about an object that they took out of our wishing cupboard.

The Ancient Eye- Brody I The ancient eye was real until it turned into stone. Now when you look at it, it comes alive.

My Secrets- Sophie G A Teddy- When it is night, the teddy will come alive. When it is midnight, it will glow. A Flower- There was a strange flower in my garden. It swallowed my cat and it ate my homework. It was irritating.

The Magical Horse- Charlett M Once upon a time there was a magical horse. She lived with her mother, father, brother and sister in the most wonderful land called the Magical Forest. It was a beautiful forest until the terrible wind. She lost everything. She lost her father, mother, sister and brother. A few weeks later she had 99 babies. They lived happily ever after.

Our students will be operating stalls alongside community stalls with funds raised going to assisting year 12 with their formal farewell organisation.
