C ollect in g y ou r rewa rds poin t s There are four easy ways to collect rewards points: 1. Collect rewards points on your grocery purchases – and get up to 10%* back in rewards points!

As a member of the UCount Rewards programme, you can look forward to fantastic savings and benefits when you pay for your everyday purchases with your Standard Bank personal debit, cheque or credit card! Every time you use your card to make a qualifying purchase you will collect rewards points which you can redeem for a variety of items – including fuel from Caltex forecourts. As a valued Standard Bank customer, you’ll also get great deals and special offers when you shop at any of our Participating Rewards Retailers. This welcome brochure is your step-by-step guide to how the UCount Rewards programme works and all the benefits you’ll enjoy. So keep it in a safe place so that you can refer to it at a later stage.

You will collect up to 10%* back in rewards points on your grocery purchases at Checkers, Checkers Hyper, Makro, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, SPAR and Woolworths stores countrywide. Simply use your Standard Bank personal debit, cheque or credit card to pay and your rewards points will be automatically credited to your rewards account once a month. Collecting rewards points from Participating Grocery Retailers is limited to 20% of your total monthly card spend. This means that we will add all purchases made on your Standard Bank personal debit, cheque and credit card together each month. Purchases exceeding 20% of your total monthly card spend will not qualify for the up to 10% in rewards points on your groceries, however, you will still collect up to 1.5% in rewards points on these remaining purchases. 2. Collect rewards points every time you use your Standard Bank personal card – and get up to 1.5%* back in rewards points on your purchases! You’ll collect rewards points when you use your Standard Bank personal debit, cheque or credit card to pay for your everyday purchases** – no matter where you shop or what you buy! 3. Collect from our Participating Rewards Retailers – and get up to 5%* back in rewards points! Use your Standard Bank personal debit, cheque or credit card to pay for your purchases every time you shop at any of the following Participating Rewards Retailers and you’ll collect rewards points! This is done automatically, so you don’t have to do anything extra when paying.

When signing up for a NEW Altech Netstar vehicle tracking agreement, you will: • Collect R19 per month in rewards points on a Sleuth system at a monthly subscription of R109 • Collect R41 per month in rewards points on an Early Warning system at a monthly subscription of R200 • Collect R60 per month in rewards points on a Cyber Sleuth Supreme system at a monthly subscription of R229.

When using your Standard Bank personal debit, cheque or credit card at any Clicks store in South Africa, you will: • Collect 1% in rewards points on all qualifying purchases* (inclusive of VAT) • What’s more, you will also collect up to 1.5% in rewards points on all your purchases from Standard Bank. Terms and Conditions 1. Rewards points will only be collected if your monthly Altech Netstar subscription fee is paid by debit order from your Standard Bank personal current account, transactional savings account or credit card. 2. •  You also collect 0.75% in rewards points on the value of your rewards points redeemed on general merchandise when using your UCount Rewards Card. Terms and Conditions 1. General merchandise excludes food, groceries, liquor, cellular, delivery charges, financial services (such as extended warranties) and gift cards. 2. Grocery means all perishable and non-perishable foodstuffs; any substance that can be used or

prepared for use as food; all household cleaning supplies; beauty and health products (excluding in-store pharmacy and prescription medication purchases). 3. The Rand value of rewards points that can be collected will be limited to R500 in rewards points per fixed cycle, which runs from the 16th of the month to the 15th of the following month. 4. You must have a Makro access card in order to transact at Makro. 5. Your rewards points cannot be refunded back into your UCount Rewards Card if you return goods that were purchased with your rewards points you will be refunded with a Makro credit note (not redeemable for cash) or according to Makro’s return policy.

Reward s t ie ri n g a n d h o w i t wor k s Based on your monthly banking activity and the number of Standard Bank products and services you use every month, you automatically get tiering points which put you into a particular rewards tier. There are four rewards tiers and the more Standard Bank products and services you use (see table on page 14-15), the higher your rewards tier will be and the more rewards points you can collect from your qualifying purchases.

H ow ti e ring p o i n ts ar e calc u l a t e d Tiering points are calculated monthly and will determine the rewards tier you qualify for in a particular month. For example, if your monthly banking activity and use of products and services mean you qualify for 631 tiering points, you will be placed into tier 3. This means that you will qualify to collect 1% in rewards points on your purchases back at any store and 3% in rewards points back on your grocery purchases at the Participating Grocery Retailers!

If you registered for the programme online, you would already have done this. If you registered in a branch or through our UCount Rewards Contact Centre, you still need to create your profile. By creating an online rewards profile, you’ll be able to check your balance, see how many rewards points you have collected, what your rewards tier is for the month, redeem your rewards points and be the first to hear about our fantastic deals and specials and much more!
