British beginnings Founded in Leeds in 1989 by siblings, Mark and Mandy Kemp, it didn’t take long for our passion for pushing the boundaries to shine through. Whilst our expertise and product range have grown over the last 25 years, we are still the 21-strong, perfectly streamlined team we’ve always been. This means that when you deal with Kemps Architectural Lighting you’re never passed from pillar to post. Instead you’ll enjoy personal service with one of our experts from the very beginning, and they’ll stay with you throughout your whole project. We will assist with your initial concept design, the manufacture of your exact specifications and the management of your installation with our own highly skilled engineers. At Kemps we thrive on innovation. Through our consultation service we’re happy to share our technical knowledge with you, even when your ideas are just scribbles on a napkin. We can also consult with your client and talk to the electrical contractors at the tender stage. By knowing if your ground-breaking visions are possible even before you draw up plans, we can save you time and money further down the line and provide you with viable solutions that will help you clinch the contract.

Our service does not end after installation. We offer a reliable after sales maintenance service to care for your lighting in the UK, and throughout the world. We can offer a long-term contract or we can work on a simple call out basis - whatever suits your budget and requirements. Wholly operated by Kemps Architectural Lighting, you can rest assured that your projects will be maintained to the highest quality. We’ve recently received accreditation from ‘safe-contractor’, a programme which recognises very high standards of health and safety practice amongst UK contractors. Our team are fully qualified to use scaffold and all heavy duty access equipment, and we take care to dispose of all failed lamps according to the current WEE legislation.
