Men's Chorus Brook Larson, Conductor Lodovico Viadana

Exultate Justi Joel Schreuder recently finished three years as head of the choral program at Bethel High School in Tacoma, Washington. While in the Northwest, he also directed Pacific Lutheran University's vocal jazz ensemble, Park Avenue, a group he sang in as an undergraduate at PLU. Joel received his Masters in Choral Conducting at Washington State University, where he served as assistant conductor of the WSU Concert Choir. His choirs have performed and competed all over the Northwest, making appearances at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival and winning top honors at Vancouver, BC' s Heritage Choral Festival. Currently pursuing his DMA in Choral Conducting, Joel is in his second year as director of the ASU Women's Chorus.

Rejoice in the Lord, 0 ye just: Praise is fitting for the upright. Give praise to God upon the harp, play upon the ten-stringed psaltery. Sing to him a new song, sing skillfully with a strong voice.

Dr. Brook Larson is the founder and director of the Arizona State University Men's Chorus. Larson recently completed his D.M.A. in Choral Conducting from Arizona State University, where he studied with David Stocker and George Umberson. He also holds degrees from Bowling Green State University, where he studied with RD. Mathey and Mark Munson, and Moorhead State University, where he studied with Paul Sahuc. In addition to choral music, Dr. Larson's interests include music theory, music theory pedagogy, Schenkerian analysis, and the value analysis has in performance.
