Advanced WIRELESS Intercom System With Video iVision+ gives you the ability to view and talk to somebody outside your (front) door from the safety and comfort of any location inside your home or business. The iVision+ wireless intercom package includes a convenient wireless handheld unit with LCD monitor and a wireless doorbell/camera unit with up to 100m transmission range. The iVision+ package can be expanded to a complete system, allowing for multiple handheld units, multiple doorbell/camera units, and the ability to remotely release electronic door locks through a gateway/chime unit. iVision+ is a scalable wireless intercom system that protects access to your home or office.

The optional Gateway unit enhances the iVision+ system by providing both an additional chime for the door bell and also the possibility to remotely open the door. For the remote door opening application, IVP-GU (G) Gateway Unit the gateway unit has to be integrated sold separately with the door locking system1, and it will then be able to release the lock when the ‘Open Door’ button is pressed on the iVision+ Handheld Unit (see illustration below). 1.

When integrated with door locking hardware2, the Gateway Unit will release the lock when the ‘Open Door’ button is pressed on the iVision+ Handheld Unit. Door Unit Button is Pressed.

External Chime is activated on Gateway Unit.

Handheld Unit chimes and user is able to answer and speak to/view person at door unit.

With additional hardware, the handheld unit can open remote doors through the Gateway unit.

Important notice before installation Thank you for purchasing the OPTEX iVISION+ wireless intercom system. As with all wireless systems, the performance of the communication between the individual wireless units can be affected by environmental conditions.

What can affect the wireless communication? The quality of the iVISION+’s radio coverage can be affected by any obstruction between the wireless transmitter and receiver. The obstruction can be in the form of solid or partition walls, concrete or other types of floor, armoured doors or elevator shaft etc. The level of the radio signal attenuation depends on the type of material.

Please note that not only visible obstructions can affect the wireless quality; interference can also come from electric or electromagnetic devices such as wireless routers, microwave ovens, TV’s and similar devices. OPTEX iVISION+ operates on 2.4GHz frequency which is a popular wireless frequency. The risk of interference can be minimised by changing the WIFI channel on the wireless router for example (please refer to your router’s user manual for information on this).

Depending on the building material used on site or external wireless interference, the range and quality of the wireless transmission can vary. We have listed some examples to explain how some materials affect the wireless signal.

Please Note: before mounting any piece of the iVISION+, please test the unit for satisfactory performance.
